The property

Our caravan has amazing open views of the bay and Isle of Wight in S.E, with a panorama of Downs round to Corfe Castle and the NW with very little obstruction from other vans.

View includes steam railway trains running along the valley!

It does not feel at all like so many tightly packed caravan parks, and is not overlooked despite being so open.

From inside the van you almost have to move to the right spot to see other vans, usually just their roof.

(We waited years for this plot to come free, and then upgraded the van to suit the site.) Grassed garden with some paved areas and local stones steps to both doors.

Solid garden tables and plenty of seating options; rotary drier for towels and swim suits.

The modern, light, spacious van features huge windows for the views and sunsets, see pictures and read our reviews... King size bed with en-suite loo and shower and in the second bedroom larger-than-normal 3ft beds were also part of the reason we purchased this van. It is well positioned in a quiet and low traffic area, with excellent access to nature reserve, cliff walks and Jurassic coast. Contact us with any questions but here are the basic details: Duvets and pillows are provided but bring your own bedlinen, duvet covers, pillowcases and towels.

We provide a map to help you arrive stress free and a set of notes about staying in our van when you are fully booked and balance paid (or on request). Space for 2 medium cars (1 in front, 1 behind it) Saturday to Saturday bookings normally but check the availability for dates and prices.

We are unsure how suitable the van is for young children under 5.

** You can use the "Enquiry" button to ensure your booking will work out well for everyone before paying any booking charges etc.

** Van available from 3pm, please vacate by 10am on departure date. Swanage is a varied and lively place for all ages.

The steam train, swimming, fishing and boat trips, watersports, golf, pitch and putt, putting, tennis, horse riding, cliff or woodland walks available locally....

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.

About the location

SWANAGE

Wareham 9.7 miles; Poole 20 miles.

The small, family-friendly seaside resort of Swanage is situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck and is probably best known for its wonderful, gently shelving golden sands. The little town offers visitors plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood, and is also well known for its annual jazz festival, which takes place each July. The attractive, Victorian wooden pier offers a great place for a stroll or try fishing, and often used a departure point for divers, it’s a wonderful place to watch the world pass by. The historic Swanage Railway has its terminus in the town and regular nostalgic steam engine trips take tourists for a picturesque 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle. Nearby Durlston Country Park offers a lovely day out with spectacular coastal walks, dolphin spotting and wildlife watching, together with comfortable viewing points and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air. Take the short drive to Studland, which has one of the finest beaches in the country, surrounded by heathland, together with the regular chain ferry, which crosses the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks. This truly is a delightful holiday destination at any time of the year.
