“Location of the caravan was excellent with no through traffic and beautiful views over the lagoon.”

Unfortunately, from the moment we stepped into the caravan the first impressions were not great. We were hit with the smell of pot pourii and febreeze plug ins which triggered my asthma - something that needs to be highlighted for future bookings. We were greeted by a collection of ants on the dining table where not only was our welcome gift, but also the next guests following us. Why this couldn't have been left somewhere for the cleaner to leave out I don't know. The walk around the caravan before unloading the car continued in the same vain. Both the main bathroom and ensuite had thick layers of dust and smears on the toilet cistern, blinds were also filthy and dust could be scraped with your nail (couldn't be wiped) and their were what looked like pubic hair in the shower trays. In general the amount of cobwebs and dust in all rooms was thick. The crockery and kitchen utensils were not clean, there was grease dripping from the extractor fan. In the 2nd drawer under the hob there were childrens plates and cups alongside a collection packet of paracetamol. Door and window trims were falling off, some refitted poorly with sellotape. Every room had gel dehumidifiers in them - the kitchen had 4. Having messaged the owner regarding something different I highlighted the ants and cleanliness. We were offered a partial refund if we were to go home and told us that there was ant spray under the sink (it was empty). Lots of owners knicknaks everywhere, which is fine if they were dust free and didn't take up every space in the living areas. I did a lot of wiping down, cleaning and tidying for us to make the most of our stay and left a list of bits for the attention of the cleaners when they went in. I took photos of everything to confirm everything I say in this review is accurate. I've stayed in cheaper and more expensive caravans and lodges and this one is the worst due to the lack of cleanliness and maintenance.
