    “A lovely 3 night stay.”

    Lodge was beautiful and was well equipped and with the best views! The staff we came across on site were lovely and very helpful. For Oct school week the site was really quiet. It was further off the main roads than we thought. This didn’t matter to us but may be a consideration for some

There is plenty to do on the site and local to Dumfries with Ayr and other towns not too far away either. At Three Lochs, there is also horse riding, archery and shooting available – with instructors on hand to guide you.

There is also a heated indoor swimming pool, two children’s play parks, a games room and on-site shop and restaurant. It is the pinnacle of the three lochs site and you won’t be disappointed with your stay here.

About the location

NEWTON STEWART

Port William 17.2 miles; Kirkcudbright 28 miles; Castle Douglas 30.4 miles;

The market town of Newton Stewart, famous for its salmon and trout fishing, lies in a superb location between the serene rolling countryside of the Machars to the south and the Galloway Forest Park to the north. The area is steeped in history. The first Christian missionary to Scotland landed at The Machars, founding the first church in AD 397 in Whithorn. The Whithorn Dig Visitor Centre lies on the site and displays material dug up over years of excavations. The beautiful coastline is a mixture of sandy beaches and rocky shores teeming with birdlife, whilst inland there is superb walking country to be discovered in the Galloway Hills and Forest Park. Sailing, riding and fishing are all available locally and there are plenty of excellent courses to keep the keen golfer busy.
