    “An enjoyable holiday in a well equipped and comfortable caravan.”

    Site facilities were excellent especially the swimming pools. On site restaurant was pricey and food mediocre . Staff pleasant and helpful.

The property

This lodge is finished to a high standard and comes with open plan living, a double and two single bedrooms, and two shower rooms. This attractive white-cladded lodge is set in quiet surroundings in a central east-facing plot on the park, only a short stroll to the main food & drink, entertainment, and leisure facilities on site - and the facility passes are included in the price of your stay!

It comes with its own private balcony deck, and a single parking space. The exterior has a lovely wrap-around deck with a relaxing rattan-style outdoor furniture lounge set with coffee table, absolutely ideal for the warmer months.

Also down the steps of the deck is a further outdoor dining table with four comfy rattan armchairs on a small patio. The proximity of the lodge means it’s close by to some walking trails taking you directly into Milford-on-Sea village or beach by foot.

Most of the other facilities at Shorefield Country Park are less than 5 minutes’ walk away. You’ll be right next to West Hampshire’s coastline — a short walk south from the park you’ll find Milford-on-Sea; further east on a thin shingle spit, you can reach Henry VIII’s fortress Hurst Castle; and west leads to Barton-on-Sea.

The stunning New Forest National Park is only a short drive north, whilst the charming coastal Georgian town of Lymington is also on your doorstep. Further along on the Dorset coastline are Highcliffe, Avon and Mudeford beaches, before you reach the ancient market town of Christchurch which sits at the confluence of the rivers Stour and Avon, on the shores of its own spectacular natural harbour and quay. I'm afraid no pets are allowed to stay or visit at this lodge due to a severe allergy. Holiday park facility passes are included in the price of your booking!

About the location

LYMINGTON

Lyndhurst 9 miles; Christchurch 12 miles; Southampton 18 miles.

The charming market town of Lymington is situated on the west bank of the Lymington River at the western end of The Solent, at the southern edge of the New Forest National Park. As well as being a favoured sailing resort, there are also regular ferry links to the Isle of Wight. The town boasts an array of interesting boutiques and craft shops, or you can treat yourselves to a meal at one of the numerous local restaurants. Lymington is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, from the heathlands and ancient woodlands of the New Forest to the coastal nature reserves which extend for 5 miles culminating in the shingle spit which is home to Hurst Castle, built in 1554 by Henry VIII. Lymington provides an excellent touring base from which to explore the New Forest, the Isle of Wight and the Hampshire coast.
