“Stayed here on numerous occassions now and could not speak any more highly.”

The accomodation is always spotless, Gordon is truly the most attentive and helpful host and with a stones throw literally to the beach what is not to like. This is our go-to always when in need of a break and some sea air.

The property

Ideal for families, couples & sharing workers in a quite mainly residential site, (not a youngsters party venue & a no smoking or drugs policy). Located right by Southsea beach in the waterfront city of Portsmouth, with attractions and events to visit all year round.

Note: If you book as 2 people I will assume you are a couple unless you ask for 2 beds to be made up. Your dogs up to 2 will be made welcome, the beach next to the caravan is dog friendly all year all the way east and west as far as the Coffee cup cafeteria (dogs can be in its patio area it is usually open from breakfast to early evening).

There is a guide in the welcome pack for other walks and a list of dog friendly places. It's a modern caravan with 2 bedrooms a double with a WC, a twin for children or short adults, a caravan fitted shower room inner hall and in to the fitted kitchen with a gas cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster and a range of crockery & cooking pots/utensils.

Next to the kitchen is a 4 person dining table & chairs, which is open plan to the lounge with l shaped bunket seating a wall mounted TV that plays DVD's a selection is in the media cupboards below the TV. This caravan is double glazed and has gas central heating and a display electric fire in the lounge area. I provide bed linens and towels, a first night loo roll and kitchen roll and some complimentary tea, coffee, sugar sachets.

the kitchen has washing up liquid and each sink has a soap dispenser, there is a small premier convenience store at the top of Cumberland road nearby (5 mins walk). The no 25 bus (Stagecoach) stops nearby and has a route between the Hayling ferry and the Hard transport interchange near Gunwharf Quays outlet shopping.

A daily group ticket can be bought and can be used as hop on hop off all day at many of the attractions the bus stops near. The park has no on-site facilities, however there are some dog/child friendly cafes & bars about 30 minutes walk from the caravans including the Marina bar, Coffee cup, Eastney tavern etc. I will text you on the day when the caravan is ready for you and arrange a meet and greet time with you. Reviews: In addition to here I have great reviews on a variety of platforms including: Trip Advisor, Facebook, Google, Airbnb, The good dog guide, Dog friendly.

About the location

SOUTHSEA

Portsmouth 3.1 miles; Portchester 7.6 miles; Havant 8.5 miles.

Southsea is a bustling seaside resort with shoreside gardens and a long beach, as well as funfair rides at South Parade Pier, the Blue Reef Aquarium and a model village. The moated Southsea Castle, built by Henry VIII, has cannons and views across the Solent, whilst the Kings Theatre is an Edwardian landmark. Have a relaxing day strolling, kite flying or indulging in a picnic on the beach, or surrounding gardens. Alternatively, you can find an abundance of places to eat serving fresh local produce and an array of independent shops, whilst the evening comes alive with several bars, including a gin bar, a summer champagne bar and craft ale bar. In the summer, Southsea Common and The Bandstand is a hub for events including the family friendly Victorious music festival, the annual Portsmouth International Kite Festival, Portsmouth Pride and regular music events. Southsea also boasts a lot of history with the The D-Day museum and memorial, as well as the Cumberland House Natural History Museum. Nearby is the only operating hovercraft in the UK, Hovertravel, with daily trips to the Isle of Wight. If you can tear yourself away, head into the city of Portsmouth. Southsea is an ideal spot for a beachfront holiday, with plenty to see and do.
