The property

A three bedroom caravan in a quiet corner of this family friendly site with stunning views across the Isle of Sheppey countryside and the sea. The site has an indoor swimming pool, children's play areas, mini golf, pottery making and bike hire (extra cost).

The club house has an exciting evening entertainment programme including bingo, children's entertainers and musical acts (entertainment passes available at reception at extra cost).

The restaurant is located in the club house.

The site provides children's entertainment during the day. The site has a laundrette. Five minutes walk to the town of Leysdown-on-Sea, Leysdown beach and arcades. Leysdown has a number of eateries including local bakery, cafes, fish and chips, Chinese, pizza and Indian. On the island you will find a large nature reserve, Minster Abbey and links to Britain's naval and air history.

There are also several sandy beaches around the coast of the island.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
