“Received message at 12:02 on day of arrival to say property was ready.”
Waited until official check in time of 3:30pm before going to the van.
Struggled to open the key safe (stiff), had to use a key to pull open.
Caravan not cleaned, rubbish all over , food trodden in carpets, dirty pots left in sink, bedding remained on from previous occupants, fridge smelt rotten, cooker dirty, curtains hanging off rails and overall smell of weed.
Owners cleaner had gone awol so a friend on site came to help with one j. Cloth and one spray bottle, no clean bedding, hoover or mop and said don’t know where to start and then left refusing to clean.
Skip forward 3 hours my daughter and son in laws mother cleaned to a level it was liviable for us to stay. They had contacts at haven so managed to get us clean bedding. If there had been vans available through haven we would have moved. Following morning used toaster that set of fire to discover weed was in plastic bag in toaster. No working smoke alarm so good job I was stood next to toaster to remove it from the van.
this was a horrible one off situation were a cleaner had not turned up and owners were told it was amess. once told this ontop of many many family issues and things around the same time this was still acted on asap. caravan cleaned. apologise over message and in person. unfortunately this was a bad cleaner gone rogue and was rectified asap.. owner did state to look to put a complaint.
