Low Greenlands Holiday Park
The Low Greenlands Holiday Park consists of a splendid selection of nine pods and one luxury house resting in the tranquil hamlet of Tewitfield, Lancashire. This collection offers countryside views to admire, inside the pods you will find ground-floor living in an intimate studio space layout complete with everything you need for a luxury glamping holiday. After a day exploring Cumbria and Lancashire you can cosy up and watch the Smart TV with Netflix from your comfortable double bed. Why not bring your furry friends; 3 pods are dog friendly whilst the other 6 are no dogs permitted. The luxury four bedroom house nearby enjoys a large private garden complete with a hot tub, EV charging and free Wifi. In addition, the site includes 11 caravan and motor home pitches with hard standing and electric, along with shared shower and toilet block facilities, a washing and laundry facility and baby changing facilities. Children will love the outdoor play area and the site hosts ample outdoor areas to have picnics or barbeques on those Summer days. The site is near both the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, making it an ideal base for groups or families, the surroundings boats lovely countryside where you can explore the Warton Crag Local Nature Reserve. If you don’t fancy cooking, then treat your loved ones to a meal out at one of the nearby eateries such as The Longlands Inn & Restaurant for some amazing traditional pub classics. Greeenlands Farm Village is within 200 yds where you can also access daily supplies from the farm shop, they offer wider family attractions such as a restaurant, cafe, children's play area, farm animals, garden centre, mini golf, helicopter rides, arts and crafts, archery and more. For our overseas guests you can access a collection and return taxi service from and to the local historic train station in Carnforth, which was the location for the famous film The Brief Encounter. When you’re ready to explore The Lake District invites you to wander scenic trails, take a boat across Windermere, or lose yourself in charming spots like Ambleside or Grasmere. A mile away from Low Greenlands Holiday Park is a large water sports centre and just a couple of miles away is the renowned Leighton Moss Bird Reserve, which is a bird watchers paradise. This picturesque area is full of various wildlife and is ideal for the aspiring bird watcher, artist or photographer. For the fishing enthusiast, we have trout fishing locally plus some of the best river fishing you can imagine on the beautiful River Lune, not forgetting the tranquil sea fishing to be had in Lancashire's Morecambe Bay where you can take in stunning promenade views and maybe have your picture taken with the Eric Morecambe monument on the sea front. You might even see our local world boxing champion Tyson Fury taking a regular run along the prom. If you enjoy history and visiting stately homes then there are many places and sites to visit. Leighton Hall is a short drive by car and set in a stunning location with beautiful gardens and a bird of prey centre which holds amazing flying exhibitions. Just up the road towards Kendal is Levens Hall with its world renowned topiary gardens. Only a few miles by car is the historic City of Lancaster with a huge Norman castle dominating the city skyline as well as the sublime Ashton Memorial, regarded as the UK’s most beautiful folly, and set in gorgeous parklands. The picturesque hamlet of Tewitfield is settled in Lancashire beside the Lancashire Canal. Stroll along the Tewitfield Canal Locks for scenic views of the countryside, ideal for avid walkers and cyclists. The village is home to a marina, where you will find barges and boats and across the road is an excellent farm shop selling local produce and hosting crafts. You can enjoy dining at a County Inn, Longlands Hotel with a restaurant serving traditional meals. Have some family fun at Crazy Golf @ Greenlands and enjoy exploring the surrounding area, with Pike Lake for a peaceful afternoon and Cinderbarrow Miniature Railway slightly further afield. Jump in the car and visit the market town of Carnforth for a wide selection eateries and specialty shops for a souvenir to remember your holiday by. Steeped in history is the bustling town of Kendal, where you can explore a Georgian Manor, the 12th century ruins of Kendal Castle and unveil the past at the museum.
