“2 adults / 1 x 16 year old booked to completely relax and chill out as a family and we did exactly that.”

Lodge provided everything we needed to do this. Very peaceful part of the resort with slight view of lake whilst sat on decking area. Our "reactive on lead" Malshi (Derek) loved the freedom of being able to explore whilst secure on the decking and being able to see in between the balustrades AND lay by the patio doors ... he's such a character. We didn't really take advantage of resort facilities with the exception of dog walks around the area of Ruby's Rest so unable to comment on ...

First impressions where great. Very modern, clean and quiet little site. Beautiful views. Well looked after. Friendly owner who text with instructions the day before. Not much on site no shop or anything but close to little villagers to get things you may need. We loved it being so quiet. Lovely place to stay i will book again.

“We stayed 20th - 23rd Sept 24 with our 2 french bulldogs, Ruby's Rest was a lovely comfortable lodge in a peaceful location.”

Everything provided for us including doggie towels for the pooches paws. Beds very comfortable, and max always on hand to answer any questions. Will definitely stay again.

“Overall we had a lovely 4 nights at Ruby’s rest.”

I was a little worried about the fact the lodge has a cream carpet especially with a dog and two children and the weather not being great! Not the best colour to have in a rental lodge. There was nowhere to hang coats or shoes either. It was lovely to have a guest info book and file with ideas of where to go. However, we didn’t get a welcome package as indicated in the book and the site info for the restaurant and gym/pool was out of date so the prices were much higher and menus had less options so this needs to be updated. The lodge itself was great, has everything you need to cook and be comfortable. Decorated to a high standard and really modern. There was nowhere to hang any washing to dry tho which was frustrating when we had been swimming. We would come again but without the kids and dog though for a more relaxing time!!

The site is nice and quiet, we enjoyed walking by the lake despite the rain ! It was a great base for us (and our dog) whilst visiting family in Morecambe and easy access to the Lakes too. We will definitely be booking again!

Very nice park to stay on will definitely be back. In the surrounding area you have Morecambe silverdale arnside. Then across the m6 you have Kirby Lonsdale Ingelton settle and skipton. Great weekend.

Not loads to do on the holiday park for little children but plenty to do locally all within 15 min drive. Swimming baths on site for children. Lodge was really cosy and homely. Had all essentials in that you would need. Would definitely return

“Had a great stay in Ruby's Rest.”

The lodge had everything we needed, all the mod cons, like a home from home. Having a proper wifi connection provided for free made a real difference to our holiday as even when the weather wasn't great, we easily managed to keep ourselves entertained from the comfort of the lodge. The location was perfect for our needs, lovely and quiet, just what we needed to enjoy a relaxing break. We'll be back again I'm sure.

”Rubys' Rest” is close to junction 35 off the M6, nestled amongst the borders of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales these two beautiful locations are just a thirty-minute drive away.

The lodge offers home from home living with a comprehensive range of full-size appliances including a washer-dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, oven & hob.

If you feel the need an iron & ironing board is also available! Bed linen & towels provided.

These are not to be removed from the lodge.

Capernwray 2.4 miles; Lake District National Park 11.6 miles.

Located just off the M6 and 20 miles south of the scenic Lake District, Carnforth is the sort of place that everyone has heard of, and many desire to discover this hidden gem. Situated at the north end of Morecambe Bay, north of the historic town of Lancaster, 15 miles from the winding lanes of the Yorkshire Dales and a hop and a skip from the Lake District, it is close to absolutely everywhere!
