The property

Sited on private land, in the grounds of Cliburn Station, at the bottom of Whinfell Forest, this modern mobile home offers self-catering accommodation in a quiet rural location with private area and parking. Its secluded location is ideal for those wishing to relax and get away from it all, those wanting to be closer to nature, or those wanting to get out and about to explore The Lakes, the North Pennines, the Yorkshire Dales or Hadrian's Wall. Nature is on your doorstep, with visitors often seeing the local red squirrels, roe deer, buzzards and breathtaking views of the Eden Valley and the North Pennines.

At night little light pollution means that it is perfect for stargazing and if that wasn't enough, a short drive and you can be walking up one of the many fells or playing in one of the lakes. Ideally suited for up to six people, the mobile home offers a lounge (with views of the Eden Valley and North Pennines), a modern dining/kitchen area, a double bedroom, two twin/double bedrooms and family shower bathroom.

Hot water and central heating is provided by a gas boiler. Please note that unfortunately this property does not have wheelchair access but is suitable for some guests with restricted mobility. Smoking is only permitted outside the static. Pets are welcome, but we ask if they can be kept off the furniture, or the furniture is covered with throws. *Price quoted is for up to SIX guests, using the double bed and four single beds. **Price quoted assumes reasonable use of fuel (half a tank of gas and up to 100u of electric per week). A cot (without bedding) and / or a high chair can be booked free of charge if available.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

No village

Chatsworth 1 mile; Bakewell 5 miles.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
