“Me n my hubby took my elderly Mum in Law and dog.”

And our 2 adult sons surprised her with their partners and our 5 month old Grandson. It’s been such a lovely weekend. The Caravan was stunning, extremely clean and comfortable. Furnishings were beautiful and it had everything you could need for a week let alone 3 nights like we did. The owners left us a welcome pack and it was such a lovely touch. Very thoughtful. The hot tub was checked daily and the plot is perfectly quiet and secluded. Will definitely return.

We didn’t use the facilities on the park as we mainly came for the planes flying out of RAF Conningsby which are spectacular and so close. We did some walking with the dog and there are some great walks ti be found. Will definitely be back.

“We would just like to thank Chris for a fantastic short stay in his very clean, well appointed holiday home.”

Just like he advertised it was a wonderful relaxing stay with lovely limited views of the lake, but well positioned for viewing the aircraft. If we had to suggest any improvements to the amenities it would be to supply an air- fryer, as this would mean less messing about with the cooker and reduced cleaning. Also we think it should benefit Chris in reducing his energy bills. It would also be nice if it was possible to rent the holiday home without the use of the Hot tub at a reduced rate as we only used it the once and that was because it was there and we had payed for it! Thank you, we will definitely consider staying here again. Sue And Glyn..

“Barney's retreat was such a welcoming experience, arriving late Friday to a basket full of personalised goodies was such a lovely addition, upon unpacking and settling everyone in, everything appeared to be well thought out, right down to a bag with blankets for the furniture for the dog.”

Tattershall lakes has so much to offer amenities wise, but Barney's retreat made us feel like we have left home for home, we spent alot of time cooking and needed for nothing utensil wise, we had foil, bin bags, even washing up liquid ???? Thankyou both for a much needed break ????

The accommodation was very clean and had everything you need, including extras like towels, cleaning products and a lovely gift basket with treats for everyone including the dogs. “Absolutely wonderful stay at this property Welcome hamper on arrival was a wonderful surprise and contained tea, coffee, wine and chocolates - everything we needed as I had forgotten to pack them !”

Hot tub was excellent and we were spoilt on both days with both the weather and a free aerial display by a spitfire whilst enjoying time in the tub. Caravan is extremely spacious and in a nice quiet location. Was superb stay and I would happily recommend to anyone.

We were welcomed with a lovely basket of treats and lovely bits for the kids. The caravan was very clean and smelt lovely throughout. The hot tub was lovely hot & clean. The hosts were very helpful, great communication. The weather wasn’t great but there was still plenty for us to do. We will be back again soon.

Booked this stay in the summer and Chris has been nothing but helpful! He went that extra mile to ensure our stay was the best, providing local restaurants to attend before our visit. He also made a hamper for our arrival which was a lovely way to start the holiday! Hot tub was unreal and the caravan was lovely and clean. Will definitely be returning again.

More than enough towels and Toiletries. Apart from that Boiler has a fault code E3 so could only shower in evenings. Can you get someone to have a look before new guest arrive. Thanks for a lovely stay !

“Loved our stay in this caravan from 11th April-15th April.”

2022. The caravan was lovely and clean and had all the essentials needed for a self catering holiday. Had a nice big shower and my little one loved the hot tub which was cleaned and checked daily. Set on a quiet cul de sac where the children can play with not having to worry about busy traffic was great, little one enjoyed mixing with neighbouring families. Sitting out on the veranda was really nice especially on a sunny day as the sun stayed there most of the day and into the evening. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again in the future. Thanks for a nice relaxed break.

The caravan was lovely. had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. The beds were very comfy and the shower was great. The big hot tub was amazing and we connected to the blue tooth speaker easily. The caravan is in a lovely quiet spot and only about a 10 minute walk to the complex. The owner was also very helpful when booking and sorted everything we needed. Can't recommend this caravan enough. We would definitely stay here again.

“Chose this as a treat with hot tub for my daughters birthday , decided to cook the first night as got there late afternoon , saucepans were dirty and had to be washed first, cooker top wasnt too clean either, lounge area and bedrooms were ok but the bathroom wasnt very clean, shower door had black mould on it which put 2 of us off showering The weather was very cold the weekend we went and the radiators in some rooms struggled to keep us warm, i did mesage the owner as no instructions for the fire or radiator nir the hottub, we worked them out but instructions woukd have been helpful We went home a day early as the weather was cold and not fully warm in the caravan, very disappointed paid out £330 and did ask beforehand if the place would be warm as the forecast wasnt great, along with dirty areas in the kitchen and bathroom not a good break and not cheap either!”

I let the owner know throughout the stay and was thanked for my feedback and he would talk to the cleaners! I at least expected a token refund, even if it was the cleaners fee! Took me a while to do this reveiw as needed to calm down as wasnt happy at all

It was a beautiful caravan and the hamper was a very nice touch. Caravan was spotlessly clean and the Hot tub was cleaned and checked everyday by billy or someone from his team. Caravan was decorated very nicely, kids loved all the ducks and pillows / pictures with cows on. Chris kept us informed all the way through the booking process and even told us about the night flight training which started on our 1st night. The Typhoon Jets at RAF coningsby were loud. When taking of approx 9pm they rattled the whole caravan finished around midnight but could last up until 1am. Being backed onto the end of the runway you do get really good view of the jets. Kids could see the pilots they were that close. Overall the whole experience was great and would highly recommend Chris and his lovely caravan to friends and family. Don’t let the jets put you off.

We initially were taking our dog but decided not to at the last minute. When we arrived the caravan was spotless. There was no smell of dogs at all! There was a lovely hamper full of essentials for us like tea and coffee sachets, milk, dog treats and even wine! The bathrooms had hand wash which I was impressed with! The hot tub was lovely and well maintained with someone coming to check daily (they were also lovely guys) The communication from the owner was amazing and we felt fully informed. We had a lovely time and would fully recommend!

“I recently spent the week at Barneys Retreat with my partner and two children (5 & 16).”

The caravan was lovely and had plenty of room for the four of us. The hot tub was a lovely treat that my partner and kids loved. I purposely booked to go here as it was so close to the RAF base - as my son currently has an application going through - so with the amount of jets flying over, it was amazing! The jets are extremely loud which wasn’t a problem for us but can be an issue for some. But we thought it was great! The caravan had near enough everything you would need for a break away… the welcome hamper was a lovely gesture. Communication with Chris was great and he was always happy to help with any queries I had. Would recommend to everyone and would definitely book again with no hesitation. Thanks so much!

The perfect break at barneys luxury retreat Tattershall Lakes Country Park in Lincolnshire 8 berth pet friendly large wrap around decking with lake views to the front and large square hot tub there is a 6 seater corner rattan set to the side with the hot tub and a bistro set on the front decking the caravan is perfectly situated on merlin point with a lovely lake view a quieter part of the park on a cul de sac so no through traffic sits on a large plot with only neighbors to one side plenty off grass ideal for the children and pets welcome basket is provided containing the essentials tea coffee sugar etc also a nice bottle of wine to get your break of to a good start, fresh bedding and towels provided XX PLEASE NOTE THAT ENTERTAINMENT PASSES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE AND WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED SEPERATELY TO BE ABLE TO USE THE FACILITIES XX
