“On entering the caravan it looks lovely with wine and chocolates which was nice.”

Everything on the surface was clean but if you venture down to the skirting it needs a deep clean. The caravan door had dropped which made it really difficult to close making it very cold as there was a gap at the top letting the outside air in. This was mentioned by a previous guest in the "guests comments" but obviously not rectified. We also informed the owners. We could not find the electric fire remote or instructions on it, or on how to get the central heating on. We ended up popping back ...

We ended up popping back home to grab an electric fan heater as it was freezing. Jacuzzi was nice but needed some screening as you are on show to everyone. Unfortunately I would not go back.

Hi - we are so sorry you were not entirely satisfied with your stay. We get so much great feedback from that accommodation so we are truly sorry. If there was anything you were not entirely happy with you should have let us know immediately. You did message the day you were leaving about the door and we had it fixed the same day. As for the heating there are instructions but you should have just called us. Again with the fire - the switches are on the fire but we could have explained that if you had let us know. Again we are sorry but do encourage anyone to let us know as soon as possible of any issues so we can rectify while you are there Property Owner

About the location

No village

Chatsworth 1 mile; Bakewell 5 miles.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

This property offers the following short breaks:
