“It was a cosy caravan, which was perfect for my husband and I, plus a medium-sized dog.”
However, it has limited storage space and therefore might be cramped for families. The accommodation was well equipped with cleaning products, crockery, cutlery and bedding. The caravan was comfortable and very clean. The wrap around veranda with a gate was secure and the van was in a good location.
We had a couple of issues, firstly, we struggled to open the key holder box located on the veranda. We had the correct code, but it appeared the key ring of the key was caught in the door, so we had to use brute strength to force the key holder door open. Secondly, we couldn’t get a signal for the main tv channels and it wasn’t until we were cleaning up to leave that we found the tv aerial within the main bedroom wardrobe. It was unplugged, but once it was reconnected, the tv worked fine.
There are plenty of takeaways on site, but all of them required cash payments only. There is a cash machine in the site’s supermarket, but it charges for withdrawals. An entertainment club and pub are part of the site’s facilities, as well as a swimming pool and arcade. We did not use the club, pub, swimming pool or arcade, so can not comment on them. I did hear that the club gets extremely busy during peak season and therefore gets cramped because it is open to the general public, not just for the people renting onsite.
All in all, it’s a lovely caravan.
