The property

Norfolk Cottage Agency present Slow You Down on Kelling Heath Park. Please note only week long breaks are usually advertised on this website but we will be able to consider short breaks if not during the main peak Summer weeks.

On first stepping into Slow You Down you will find yourself in the spacious boot room, perfect for kicking of wellie boots and drying off after a stomp around Kelling Heath. Into the open plan kitchen, dining and living area which is a large, well lit space.

The kitchen has a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, washing machine, oven, gas hob and various cooking utensils.

There is a dining table for 4 people and a kitchen island with views out to the woodland. The living room features a large corner sofa, coffee table and television.

French doors open out onto the decking, with calming, private woodland views. The primary bedroom contains a king size bed with bedside tables, a TV unit, chest of drawers, dressing table and mirror, built in wardrobe and shelving.

The bed faces a large floor to ceiling window with scenic views of the woodlands.

The en-suite has a walk in shower, WC and hand basin. Bedroom 2 is a twin room with bedside table, mirror, shelving and built in wardrobe. Family bathroom comprises of walk in shower, WC and hand basin. Slow You Down sits on a peaceful enclosed plot, offering privacy among the woodland.

There is space for 2 cars between mature bushes and a wrap around deck with two sets of garden furniture and parasol. The Village Centre is approx a 10 minute walk. Heating Gas Central Heating. Private Parking within and outside of the plot. Linen and Towels included within price.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
