“We had a wonderful stay here!”

The location was ideal, situated on a quiet, no-through road which kept noise to a minimum, and it was perfect for our dog to relax with fewer passersby and other dogs around. The caravan was just the right size for our needs – we originally planned to be four people, but since my parents couldn’t make it, it felt just right for two. I think it would be great for families with kids, though for four adults it might be a bit snug (but that’s just a personal observation!). The caravan itself ...

The caravan itself was lovely and well-maintained. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of cooking and serving utensils, though it did leave little counter or cupboard space for groceries. That said, I really appreciated the addition of an air fryer, blender, and other useful appliances! The owner/cleaner was there at 10am on the dot, just as we were leaving (was doing one final check!) so felt a little rushed, but that's on us. We'd definitely recommend.

Thanks for your comments. It's really tricky giving guests enough kit but leaving them enough space for food, I do try and get it right, Thank you for your other lovely positive comments. Property Owner

The property

A peaceful retreat, surrounded by trees and birdsong.

The property at Kelling Heath offers everything nature can throw at you but also has the benefit of being within a 10-minute walk through the woods from the 'market square' where there is plenty to keep you entertained and get your supplies. Kelling Heath Holiday Park, member of the Green Business Tourism Scheme and public voted best UK campsite, offers its guests a unique natural environment and is a short drive to the stunning north Norfolk coastline.

There is a health centre with a large indoor pool, sauna, spa & gym and seasonal outdoor pool, tennis courts, ping pong tables, playing fields and petanque along with a large traditional pub, ice cream & pizza parlour, a shop and bicycle hire.

In high season, as well as these offerings, there are pop up food trucks, musical entertainment and organised children's activities.

Check at reception for a programme of events. The property offers immaculate accommodation as follows.

Front door leads to an open plan fitted kitchen, dining area with seating for four; this leads to a good-sized living area with picture window overlooking the woods.

The kitchen has a full-size fridge/freezer, gas oven and hob, built-in microwave, air fryer, kettle, & toaster.

The reception area has two comfortable 2-seater sofas, an LG smart TV with sound bar, with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime, and DVD player.

Some plugs have USB sockets.

The cabin is equipped with an alarm and an external high speed WIFI antenna.

The inner hall leads to a shower room with shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet.

There is a twin bedroom (full size single beds with proper mattresses) with built in wardrobe and a master bedroom with king size bed with a comfortable mattress, fitted wardrobes and an ensuite toilet with a sink. There are radiators in every room (gas fired), and an electric log effect electric fire in the living area.

Plenty of large, double-glazed windows fill the cabin with light and wooded views.

The kitchen is properly equipped with quality items; it is used by family, and we have tried to make it as efficient, comfortable and like a home-away-from home as we possibly can.

I provide a shower and face towel per bed space and all beds are made up ready.

There are wiping up cloths and cleaning materials, tea, oil, vinegar etc. The ‘wild garden’ exterior is a fully fenced area and has a modern dining set for 6, two reclining chairs, a garden sofa and a Cadac electric BBQ.

PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO VERY DRY CONDITIONS AND HIGH FIRE RISK, KELLING HEATH HAS BANNED THE USE OF ALL CHARCOAL BBQ'S FOR 2025.

I have checked and my electric BBQ is fine, please do not add any charcoal BBQ's as they are an extreme fire risk during this dry season and are banned. For indoor relaxation, there are some games, local information books and some DVD’s.

Also, a ping pong set for 4 is provided as well as a traditional set of French boules, two tennis rackets and badminton set.

We highly recommend you bring bicycles (if not, you can hire them), swimwear and walking boots. This offers a true get-away-from-it-all break, totally immersed in nature yet within a 10-minute walk of all that Kelling Village Square has to offer.

There is a comprehensive tourist guide at the property detailing shops, places to eat and drink, walks, beaches, historic houses and so on.

There really is something for everyone in this region and it is a gastronomique delight as well as traditional fish and chip shops aplenty.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
