    “Not a great start as there was no key and no bedding.”

    it took over an hour to get sorted. Owner very responsive in trying to sort with Haven and a key was provided pretty quickly, when I went to reception, but there was some wrangling over getting bedding, which eventually turned up but said they wouldn’t make the beds up! We did have a lovely weekend. The caravan is in a beautiful quiet spot on the site with lovely decking area and lounge and beds very comfortable. Considering returning with Grandad, but we couldn’t get the TV tuned in ...

PORTHMADOG

Harlech 5 miles; Caernarfon 19 miles.

The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland railway where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caernarfon. The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast.
