“We stayed in this filthy caravan for 3 nights.”
On arrival Kim showed up and said"is everything ok?" we replied"yes" as we were still unloading car with luggage.
The only reason we stayed here for 3 nights is because family who we havent saw since before Christmas were staying on site in a no dogs van, we had 2 dogs.
We went out Fri night and all day Saturday. It wasnt until Sunday morning we noticed everything.
• Put in a different caravan(not as advertised on website)
• Dirty bedding from previous customer left on bed.
• Badly stained duvet cover.
•Cobwebs in different rooms on ceilings.
• Ripped dining room chairs.
• Dirty cups(couldnt make a drink)
•Tea stained tablecloth.
•Dusty shelves(Could write your name in it)
•Dirty marks on coffee table, nets and door handles.
•Dirty cutlery.
•Cigarette ash behind chair on carpet.
• Patio area had a dirty cloth on floor and a bucket full of water with used cigarette butts in.
•Outdoors had a badly scratched table with chairs that were upside down.
We asked Kim to call round Sunday so we could speak to her in person as she lives on site.
She never called round but telephoned me to say we should of reported complaint on Friday not Sunday.
She offered us a midweek stay in one of her other vans but I said no.
We had to pay 50.00 deposit and van was 360.00 for a 3 night stay)exc deposit)
We got our deposit back but no compensation. They keep your 50.00 if you damage anything.
I paid 360.00 so I should of walked in to a immaculate van. You said you pay a cleaner, but you should check it is spotless before guests arrive.
I sent all photographs to Kim but no compensation given, not even a apology.
I have never left a negative review before as I have always left a positive review but you left me no choice.
I called round after arrival to check all was ok to be told yes all fine .that was the Friday. Sunday night I was asked to go round and was hit with all these complaints bearing in mind they were leaving Monday morning , so yes they were told that they can't expect any refund as you can't stay your full holiday and then complain for money back . If it was as bad as this review makes out no one in there right mind would stay and say nothing . Classic case of trying to scam a refund from hard working people . They expected to use the holiday home , the gas ,water , electric and then say actually this isn't the 1 we booked . I'm sorry but from the second they walked in they knew it was not the 1 pictured so why not say something then . Ill tell you why because they saw a refund from the second they walked in . Anyone who genuinely had a problem with my genuine mistake would of told me when I knocked on and give me a chance to move them to the right van and yes I would expect them to walk in to a clean van but I would also expect to be told straight away so I could sort any problems out but again they saw pound signs . If they didn't they would of contacted me right away , not sit on it for 2 full days
