THE LOCATION: Thornwick Bay Holiday Park is located on the edge of the village of Flamborough, on the beautiful East Yorkshire Coast.

Flamborough is a popular area for bird-watchers and wildlife enthusiasts, being designated a Heritage Coast, Site of Special Scientific Interest, Marine Special Area of Conservation and home to several Local Nature Reserves.

The area is popular for puffin-spotting during May to mid-July and seals are regularly seen in the waters along the coast.

Thornwick Bay Holiday Centre has its own nature reserve with bird hides, ponds and wetlands and lovely walks.

Deer can be seen regularly in the nature reserve and the song of skylarks is a common sound. Other amenities on-site include a fishing lake, adventure playground, cliff-top walk, segway and adventure trail, all-weather activity barn, cycle hire, ranger activities, large indoor fun pool, entertainment lounge, bar/restaurant, shop, chip-shop, pottery painting studio and laundrette. There's a sand and pebble beach nearby, suitable for paddling and rock-pooling.

Boat and fishing trips leave from the nearby North Landing. Miles of sandy beaches and white pebble beaches can be found in the nearby seaside resort of Bridlington, which also hosts a range of shops and cafes, fairground, soft-plays and amusement arcades.

Bondville Model Village and Sewerby Hall and Gardens with mini zoo are within a 5 minute drive.

Within a one hour drive lies the seaside resorts of Hornsea, Filey and Scarborough, the cities of York and Hull, and the tourist attractions Flamingo Land Zoo and Theme Park, the North Yorkshire Moors Railways, Eden Camp, Burton Hall and Gardens and much more. THE CARAVAN: The caravan itself is only a 5-minute walk from the entertainment complex and close to the new lakeside development and is on a level area of the site.

There are 3 bedrooms: 1 double and 2 twin, a shower room and an additional cloakroom with toilet and sink. The living area, dining area and kitchen are open plan, modern and very spacious with ample seating for 6 people. The caravan is well equipped with a TV in the living room and an additional TV in the master bedroom, thermostatically controlled central heating in every room, microwave, toaster, kettle, ample cooking equipment and crockery, Tassimo coffee machine with a few pods to get started, tall fridge-freezer, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

There is also a selection of family board games.

The enclosed west-facing gated veranda is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the sun. Guests receive a small welcome hamper of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits.

4-legged friends also receive a little goody bag. Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 9.30am.

There is grass parking available at the side of the caravan. Small, well-behaved pets welcome.

Please enquiry before booking. The caravan is strictly no-smoking due to severe allergies.

We request that guests keep noise to a minimum after 10am to respect owners in neighbouring caravans.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £75.

About the location

BRIDLINGTON

Filey 10 miles; Scarborough 20 miles.

The seaside resort of Bridlington lies on the east coast of Yorkshire, south of Scarborough and Filey. Two award-winning beaches of golden sand stretch out on either side of the historic harbour, bustling with activity. Beautifully designed promenades provide everything from fun-fairs to quiet places where you can sit and watch the world go by. Shops, attractions, restaurants and the historic 'Old Town' of Bridlington offer a fascinating contrast to life on the beach, where the latest Dad's Army has been filmed, whilst the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the front provides evening entertainment. There is also the East Riding Leisure Centre, with family swimming area and a variety of other indoor activities. Further afield are the picturesque villages and scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds, the neighbouring resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and the spectacular heritage coastline. There are numerous places to visit in the area, including Bempton's RSPB bird sanctuary, Sewerby Hall, Danes Dyke and Flamborough Head with its cliffs and caves.
