“My brother and I stayed with my elderly mum here in September.”

She had always wanted to visit Scarborough and the location was perfect. Caravan is really lovely. Well equipped in kitchen utensils department n has salt n pepper but other food stuffs you need to bring. Fabulous spot next to the hedge at edge of the park. Loved watching the birds feast at the bird feeder. Heats up fast but only needed it on a few minutes on cold September mornings. Very bright n delightful when sun is out. Sunny spot to sit outside is perfection. Looking forward to return already. The views at the top of the park across to S are just stunning. My ankle is poorly else would haved loved to do the coastal walk in each direction. Bring bin bags, couple of extension leads if you have a few gadgets in tow, over door hook if you use a dressing gown and a hair dryer too to make the stay, If you anticipate needing the laundry on site, bring some detergent (or is £2 for a box at Spar) and a clothes horse with some pegs although we did manage with the special hanger out the window for some of the items. The Spar by the petrol station is pretty good with some bargains and there is a Tescos in Filey near the train station. By the time we got there the campsite shop was shut. My brother said the on site pool looked nice. Filey seemed very nice but we went in the evening and tide was in with beach very much in shade so there was no beach. Had to go to Cayton for a paddle :-). Next time we will know but this was only a short visit. Very quiet at the caravan start of September and the few people we did see were very friendly. Faye was a great host. Don’t hesitate to book.

“What a little Oasis!”

! I found myself solo with my dog due to illness, I need t have worried, the caravan was spotless with everything I needed, the dog walk only about 50 yards from the caravan. I visited Filey beach and drive over to Staithes, both places still timeless after more than 20 years of being there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this caravan and Faye was a lovely host and replies to any messages very quickly. We will be returning and thank you for the fudge Faye.

Location perfect for a short walk to the shop, fish shop and swimming pool which we used all 3. Dog park fantastic to be able to let your dog off the lead and have a good run around. “Lovely clean and cosy caravan, the location was very quiet.”

The site itself seemed really nice, I particularly liked the dog park. A lovely gesture of fudge on our arrival, it was nice to enjoy a few home comforts like pint glasses, normal mugs, decent cutlery which you don't always get from big chain sites, so tou could tell the caravan was loved and looked after. I would definitely use this caravan again.

“We have just enjoyed a 3 night stay at this caravan after our daughter’s wedding.”

It was perfect to just relax and unwind in. We didn’t use any of the facilities on the site, so can’t comment on them, but the caravan was very clean and comfortable, especially the mattress on the double bed, and the kitchen area was well stocked with cooking utensils. Sadly, the weather took a turn for the worst and was very cold!!! But we put the boiler on and had the heating on!! ( In September ????) and it was perfect and heated up really fast!! This caravan is perfect and ideal for either a small family (young kids) or an older couple like ourselves. Can’t recommend highly enough.

“We arrived at the caravan and was so very pleased to see how welcoming it was.”

It was extremely clean and tidy (especially for a dog friendly accomodation). The welcome brochure was extremely well laid out and informative. The caravan had all of the essentials to make our stay comfortable. The shower was fab. Lots of hot water and a powerful shower to revitilise you after a long day of walking. Whilst there, I needed to contact the owner, who was very helpful and supportive. On our return home, one of the party had left their dogs coat at the caravan. Faye was extremely quick to make contact and arrange for the return of the coat. Thank you Faye, we had a great time. I would certainly consider using this caravan again, should the owner authorise it !!!

“Although the weather wasn't great, we thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at Faye's caravan.”

8/15 June. The caravan was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It had great heating too, which was welcome on chilly nights. I cooked most nights and the kitchen has everything you need, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer etc. Plenty of pots, crockery, culture etc. The bed was very comfy and having an ensuite was handy. Duvet and pillows provided were all fresh and clean. The caravan park was quiet during our stay and is near to the dog park which was a bonus with our two dogs. We enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder at the back of the caravan. We didn't make use of the pool or bar but the shop is very well stocked, good prices too. A great base for visiting local tourist attractions, we really enjoyed visiting a part of the coast line we'd never been to before. Thanks Faye and thank you for the box of sweets!

“So glad we found this caravan, Immaculately clean, very comfortable with everything we needed for a couple of days away.”

Lots of hot water, powerful shower, spotless beds and bedding, plenty of pillows. Great spot, not far from the decent sized dog walking area. We have camped at Crows nest before so knew what to expect. Lots to do in the local area, delicious fish and chip shop on site. Teenager was glad the wifi signal was good. “What a lovely spacious caravan.”

It is very clean and comfortable, the living area is against a hedgerow which gives added privacy. We took our labrador with us, he had a fab time on all of the walks we found. The dog park on the site is a 2 minute walk away which is handy for a quick evening walk. The site itself is clean and tidy and we found it to be very quiet at night. The box of fudge was a nice touch Faye, thankyou. Will definitely be booking again. A lovely caravan, great spot and good comms throughout the whole booking process and beyond. Highly recommended.

The property

This caravan has everything you and your family need for a relaxing holiday on the Yorkshire coast. It has 2 bedrooms, one double and one with twin beds.

The main bedroom has an en-suite toilet.

There is also a double pullout bed in the lounge area.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need for a self catering holiday.

TV with DVD player and gas fire in the open-plan lounge area. The upholstery and carpets are professionally cleaned at the start of every season keeping the caravan in great condition.

New carpets have recently been fitted. Duvets and pillows are provided.

Please bring your own duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea towels. Gas and electric are included in the price.

The caravan has a combi boiler for full central heating and hot water.

The parking bay is for 1 vehicle.

The site itself has a clubhouse with a conservatory allowing dogs, a swimming pool, a shop and a fish and chip shop.

About the location

FILEY

Scarborough 7.7 miles; Bridlington 10.5 miles.

Set in the magnificent Filey Bay, Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday, making it an ideal place to stay for walkers and wildlife watchers at any time of the year. Filey Brigg is a low headland that protects Filey Bay and provides good bird watching and seawatching opportunities all year round. The 400 ft high Bempton Cliffs (RSPB Reserve) to the south of Filey Bay are home to over 250,000 seabirds in the summer. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels and there is a slipway where local fishermen keep their boats, plus delightful beach chalets that can be hired through the summer months. The bay is edged with two promenades and there are various gardens, where brass bands play on a Sunday afternoon. This small town is family orientated and there are loads of family activities such as Alpamare UK waterpark, Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park and the Filey Dams Nature Reserve, a wetland reserve where all kinds of common and rare birdlife can be seen. A short drive brings you to the busier town of Scarborough where you will find great beaches, a castle, the Rotunda Museum and the acclaimed Sea Life Centre. Other towns worth visiting close to Filey include Bridlington, Whitby, Hornsea and Saltburn, which all demonstrate the vibrancy of this picturesque North Yorkshire region.
