“We stayed in Karen’s caravan for three night and it was perfect for a short break.”

The caravan was clean and had everything we needed, Karen also left a detailed list of things to do in the area. The site is small but had plenty to do and had evening entertainment every night. It was easy to get to the beach from the site and we also used the local swimming pool. I would definitely come back in the future.

The property

Situated in Eyemouth the east coast of the borders region, charming coastal fishing town where you can relax and enjoy quality time with family and friends, with nature on your doorstep, views to be adored and walks to be appreciated.

Eyemouth is a very friendly town with local restaurant's, award winning ice cream, amusements with 10 pin bowling above, swimming pool and steeped in history (widows and bairns) and myths (Gungreens House).

Eyemouth harbour gives you the chance to feed the seals or take a rib trip to which it will take you past Coldingham Bay, St Abbs and possibly see some dolphins (however this is very popular and must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment), Fishing and diving excursions.

Beach nearby (Eyemouth 2 min walk, Coldingham 10 min drive or via coastal path, Spittal Beach 20min drive south).

Berwick upon tweed is 15 mins by car (England- plenty supermarkets) good train links in Berwick to the north and south, Edinburgh is 45mins by train from Berwick or approx an hour drive from Eyemouth.

The Park has full day security for a safe and enjoyable day for families, has an outdoor playpark and enclosed ball play area.

The holiday park has a restaurant open throughout the day for brunch, lunch and dinner and specialises in American cuisine.

You can get an entertainment pass from reception at an additional cost paid to the park this is only for bingo and swimming pool access (less than 6 days £13.50 per person, for a week £15 per person) if you happen to only be going swimming once or twice would advise paying at the pool.

There is a bar on site, there are also pubs in the town that are very friendly, pet welcoming and child friendly. Our quaint caravan is 2 bedrooms consisting of one king size master bed, with a seated `reading nook` and two single beds, all bedding supplied, two toilets and a shower, towels provided but please pack extra towels for beach or swimming activities as they are limited.

We are very pet friendly so please bring your four legged friends with you (there's a gated area right at the door).

Full kitchen with everything you should need for your stay.

Laundrette on site.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £50.

About the location

EYEMOUTH

St Abbs 4.5 miles; Chirnside 7.7 miles; Berwick upon Tweed 8 miles; Duns 11 miles.

Situated on the East Coast, just over the Scottish Border, and only eight miles north of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Eyemouth has been a bustling fishing port for centuries, and there are a number of local fishmongers still supplied from local fishing boats today. Narrow cobbled streets preserve the ancient character of this delightful coastal town, and there's a number of visitor attractions outlining the history of the area. Visit Gunsgreen House and learn some of the history of the town and the smuggling that once took place, or enjoy the Eyemouth Museum, fishing heritage centre and art galleries on offer. There are excellent golfing facilities available, with a clifftop course in town and a number of other courses in the area, while walks, cycling, bird watching and visits to castles and country houses are all within a short driving distance. Visit Coldingham Priory, Paxton House, Manderston House, Floors Castle and the magnificent walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed for an exciting day out. Both Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne are reached in an hour, making Eyemouth a wonderful base for touring South Scotland, and the North of England.
