“What a fantastic lodge, squeaky clean, comfortable with everything you need from home.”

After an 8 hour journey to get there my first impression was WOW!!! And when all the fairy lights go on it is spectacular I will definitely recommend and return for another visit. Brilliant break to see my family

“We booked a family holiday - mother, siblings and their children.”

We were in a lodge with my sister and mother. The lodge was perfect and the site is very well managed, clean and very safe for playing children. The position is great being so close to a lovely, wide and very long sandy beach and the wonderful Northumbrian countryside is within easy reach as is Newcastle.

“Beautiful lodge, well stocked and very comfy but unfortunately I would not recommend staying in the woodlands area because of the drainage issues, very muddy .”

This was not the owner’s false but the drainage obviously not sufficient in this area . The owners were lovely and very responsive and apologetic

The property

About the Property This spacious lodge is modern and stylish with all the comforts you would expect from home with plush sofas, a dining area and comfy beds for your stay.

The living space is open-plan and makes for a great entertaining space with dishwasher, fridge freezer, breakfast bar, dining area with table and chairs, sofas (including a sofa bed) and a TV.

Patio doors lead out onto the composite decking with a rattan corner sofa, dining table and chairs and parasol (don't let those rainy days stop the fun!). There are three bedrooms- the master suite includes wardrobes, a dressing area and ensuite bathroom.

There are two further bedrooms, each with single beds (which can be pushed together on request) and of which also include storage.

There is also a further shared shower room.

Additionally, there is a utility area with washing machine and storage cupboard. Wi-Fi is available.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

The lovely market town of Morpeth is situated centrally in Northumberland and is an ideal base from which to reach the coast or countryside. Offering the remains of an historic castle, lovely parks, riverside walks, ancient architecture and churches and an old chantry with a bagpipe museum, Morpeth is also ideal for visiting surrounding attractions such as Druridge Bay to the east, with miles of golden sands, the vibrant city of Newcastle to the south, Alnwick to the north, with its castle and gardens and the National Trust's Wallington Hall to the west. There is also access to the Simonside and Cheviot Hills, with good walking amidst beautiful countryside.
