“We had a great time at Sandy Bay.”
The lodge is lovely, very modern with good facilities. Sandy Bay is the perfect mix of peaceful, with a great beach, walks and wildlife but close enough to travel to nearby towns and see more of Northumberland. The hosts were very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Little things that would have improved our stay would have been better quality cooking equipment such as a sharp knife, more than one cooking tray (we are a family of 4) and some small maintenance jobs being carried out and a little cleaner overall. A frustration on caravan sites is always the lack of water supply, especially when it comes to showers. However, that’s a site problem rather than the lodge itself. All in all we’d definitely come back.
