    “We had a fantastic stay.”

    Felt like we had walked into a show home. Modern facilities and everything we could need. Even had spare washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. Really nice touch having TVs in the bedrooms. Lovely hot showers. Everything was in working order. The park was full of families but we still got peace and quiet. Lovely decking with seating which we used every day.

The property

Privately owned lodge located near the town of Ashbourne in the beautiful Peak District National Park.

Tranquil countryside setting with scenic walks in abundance. Fabulous setting for families with an on site shop, playground and swimming pool (n.b.

pool closed December and January) .

Brilliantly located near to many local market towns such as Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton.

Other nearby attractions include Alton Towers theme park and waterpark, Gulliver's Kingdom, Crich Tramway Village, Chatsworth House and Gardens, Chatsworth Adventure Playground and Farmyard, Haddon Hall and many more... The lodge features a king sized master bedroom with walk in closet and en-suite shower room with toilet.

The second bedroom is a twin with full sized single beds in an unusual layout to maximise floor space, this is serviced by another shower room and toilet. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, microwave and gas hobs with electric oven. Free Wi-Fi throughout with smart TVs in living area and both bedrooms with built in DVD players in the bedrooms.

Log effect electric fire in living area. A few games, books and DVDs are provided for the guests enjoyment. Secure wraparound decking with a lockable gate and four seater rattan set with low table. Please note the cleaning and linen fee incorporates both a thorough clean ahead of your stay, restock of essential items and freshly laundered bed linen and towels

Lying at the southern end of the Peak District, Ashbourne is a perfect example of an English market town - market place with stalls, eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses. In its heyday in the 18th-century, the town was a fashionable social centre, and many fine Georgian buildings remain from this period. Today the town still has much to offer in terms of restaurants and inns and is regarded as something of a haven for antique hunters - but don’t expect a bargain! For those who prefer more outdoor pursuits, the Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by and for thrill seekers Alton Towers with its exciting collection of rides and attractions is just a short drive away.
