“Extremely well equipped van, large living/dining area, extremely clean and well maintained.”
Excellent shower, lashings of super hot water!!!! Bedding and towels were provided, in fact other than personal care items, everything was there.
It was our first time staying in a static van, we are hotel people so we didn't know what to expect!!!! However, because we have a dog who loves the beach we thought we would give it a go for a few days and were pleasantly surprised that the van was a mini home from home. The caravan is modern and bright, we had a sea view (joy of joys the van has a window seat and a view of Barry in the distance), which was welcomed, and access to the beach was easy. The owners were so helpful, they answer queries quickly and deal with problems very quickly and efficiently. The TV stopped working, not a priority when you are on holiday, but within 24hrs the owner replaced it, HIMSELF!!!...now that's the kind of landlord you want!!!!
Overall, we will book again, Blue Anchor is a gorgeous area, the site itself is extremely well tended, the facilities are clean and everyone is friendly and helpful. The Bay Cafe is a lovely place to while away a couple of hours. Blue Anchor is not a place for anyone wanting clubs, pubs, fine dining or miles of golden sand, but if you want a peaceful, out of the way holiday with breathtaking scenery and quirky fishing villages within easy reach you will be thrilled....thank you Jackie and Marc, we had a wonderful holiday, far beyond our expectations, every little detail shows that you care about your guests.
