“Unfortunately this caravan has not been maintained or cleaned to a very good standard.”
Oven, microwave & fridge had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. Fridge was broken and dishwasher had a fault due to not being maintained. The shower was dirty and toothpaste marks all around the sink & shelving. Mirrors had also not been cleaned along with the windows. Blinds had never been cleaned along with the headboards and it was full of cob webs and spiders. . Tv is not a smart tv as the fire stick is broken along with the remotes. Decking was dirty and covered in brambles with a broken gate and table. Also very little storage as it was taken up with all their things literally stuffed everywhere. The sofa had so many stains on it, it was not pleasant to look at, luckily had throws due to being dog friendly. I would recommend avoiding this caravan as the owner is not interested in fixing any of the problems.
It’s a shame as the positives are it’s in a nice quiet location and a very good size. Trecco Bay is an excellent holiday park. We also love the town and beaches. We will be back but not at this caravan. I have let the owner know but she insisted it was cleaned to a high standard
Unfortunately this particular guest has had their security deposit retained due to the stained bedding which requires replacing as cannot be cleaned. The guests also checked out 2 hours later than our normal procedures.
This guest DID NOT contact us on arrival or even during their stay regarding any concerns or issues and therefore had we been contacted then we would have rectified any issues.
1) Oven, microwave and fridge were cleaned prior to arrival. If there were any issues with cleanliness, then would have been rectified at the first instance.
2) Fridge and dishwasher are NOT broken and are in full working condition. Upon their departure, they have both been checked and are deemed in working order. The customer claims that there was no Rinse Aid or Salt, we are under no obligation to provide the cleaning products for the use of facilities. However, there are such solutions under the sink area that guests are welcome to use.
3) Cleanliness of the shower was cleaned by our cleaners prior to their arrival. Again, no reports were received on arrival or during their stay,
4) On the rear decking, officially there is no gate and there has never been a gate. However, there is a removable gate guard that some guests are welcome to use if they have pets. So the gate is not broken.
5) Generally, if there are issues with cleaning and guests report this on arrival then we would have cleaners return to rectify any issues. The guests did not report anything as such until their deposit with withheld for the appalling state of our bedsheets which, even after cleaning will need to be thrown away and will need to buy new.
6) In terms of storage, as owners we do not store anything personal, the cupboard in the master bedroom does have the spare bedding for the pull out sofa.
