“Hazel Lodge is set in a quiet location and centrally situated for visiting beautiful West Wales.”

It's well equipped with everything you would need and it has a lovely outside decking area to sit and appreciate the peaceful surroundings. We had a problem with the wi-fi but had good communication from Helen to try and sort the problem out.

“On arrival we recieved a lovely welcome packs my dog loved the treats.”

.The lodge is suitated in a quiet location as you enter the park a well equipped kitchen and. Comfortable accomdation. We had nice walks in the area a lovely garden centre just up the road. My only gripe was the Wi-fi was hit and miss but other than that a amazing relaxing break was had by us.

“We absolutely loved this lodge!”

Spacious, dog-friendly, and incredibly comfortable, it’s perfectly situated near the park entrance, close to the office and occasional bar. The park itself is a peaceful haven for nature lovers, with a charming pond right in front of the lodge. Inside, you’ll find WIFI and Freeview TV in both the lounge and bedrooms. Though the park is set in a rural location, New Quay is just under an hour’s walk away via scenic back roads and beaches. The lodge also offers easy road access to other coastal towns, whether you’re heading north or south.

“Well what can I say.”

Home after 5 days in Hazel Lodge, with my partner and dogs. The lodge is absolutely brilliant and has everything you require. Definitely equipped to a high standard. Booking was straight forward and owner sent all the details for access and setting up equipment. The site is peaceful and not too far from New Quay and a beach to walk the dogs on. They loved the decked area and so did we. Will definitely be booking again as this is a place we would visit again and again. Thank you 10/10 Sue and Kevin and Mika and Luna ????

“If I could give more than excellent I would .”

.a beautiful lodge in a quiet setting and everything you could wish for for a wuuet break Everything included with every single utensil you could dream of and a fantastic assortment of cups and glasses .a lovely welcome pack for us and the dog ( very dog friendly with a cushion saying couch is for fogs only lol ) Good touring place for Wales in an idealic peaceful setting with a lovely Riverside walk Internet was absolutely adequate and much better than you get on iother camp sites but the park is in a valley so you may get some buffering but totally adequate I would reccomrnd this lodge to anyone but you do tend to lose the sun in the evening just because how the lodge is facing but you get full sun in the mornings for beautiful alfresco breakfasts and until later afternoon In the height of summer it will be warm anyway so still lovely to sit on the veranda with an evening glass of wine looking over the pond with the visiting heron Plenty of patio furniture and parasol provided I will miss this place ..heaven left behind ...and excellent +++ customer service ..I booked direct with no issues If you do book this lodge you won't be disappointed but I will be jealous

“We were a family group of three brother in laws.”

We found the accommodation comfortable but was disappointed to find that we had no internet access and there was a missing plug for the bath. There was extensive building/rennovation work around us and we were thankful we were out all day to avoid any noise and disruption. When ringing the proprietor to ask about the access to the internet we were met with an abrupt and unfriendly response. It definitely felt like we had caught her on an off day!

The park is undergoing improvements with the removal of some of the old chalets to be replaced at some stage by new lodges. We know that the proprietors do their utmost to reduce the impact of this work on visitors and we hope that this did not cause you too much inconvenience. We can only apologies that there was a missing bath plug and will make sure this is rectified soonest. With respect to the lack of WIFI/Internet access we are doing our best to find a way to provide this service with a reliable and cost effective solution. However at this time the only available option is 4G which is expensive and is available on most visitors mobiles. We will continue to search for a solution that is more appropriate. Property Owner

The lodge is beautiful and spotless clean. In a great location on the park and id easy to find. We went to several different beaches and werre so beautiful. We went to Aberystwyth to have a look around the town as this is a little bit busier and there are some lovely shops. Aberaeron is lovely and would highly recommend visiting the cellar bar and restaurant. The staff and food were amazing. I cant wait for us to go again when the weather is better to explore more.

“We stayed in Hazel Lodge for a week early August and wish we could have stayed longer.”

The lodge is just beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It has everything you need, plenty of cutlery/crockery, pots, pans, utensils etc. The decking around the lodge is huge so plenty of room to relax and enjoy the sunshine with a glass of wine. The park is situated just a short drive from New Quay and is very peaceful. We were very lucky the time we went as the small bar/restaurant was open serving some lovely food but we think this has now closed which is a shame. There are some stunning beaches not too far away from New Quay and Woodlands is in a fabulous spot. Thank you to Geoff and Helen for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be booking again, we had the most wonderful time and can’t wait to stay there again.

So peaceful and the wildlife around the resort was fab. Drinking our coffee on the veranda in the morning watching rabbits, squirrels and birds. Not far from the town which was great. “Wow, what an amazing lodge in the most beautiful setting.”

We were blown away with Hazel Lodge and could happily live there. It is spacious, modern, clean and has everything you could wish for, there were even 2 dog bowls, dog treats and poo bags left for us to use, so thoughtful. Wonderful area, walked down to the coastal path and along to both New Quay and Aberaeron which was stunning, visited Aberystwyth too, we will definitely return soon. The on site bar and restaurant a stones throw away, lovely friendly staff, good food and dogs more than welcome everywhere we went.

The site is convenitently located just outside of New Quay and a great base to explore the area. The lodge itself was spacious. The towels, bed linen, kitchen and bathrooms were immaculately clean. The kitchen is well stocked i.e., pots, pans and utenstils and recycling facilities. Beds were really comfy and the deck had ample seating and dining. A very welcoming lodge. The park was immaculate and dog waste bags and disposal areas were sited throughout the park. The only negatives if I'm being fussy was the on site bar wasn't open and the lodge did have a layer of dust on every surface but a quick wipe down soon sorted that. Will definately be returning.

It was very well equipped spotlessly clean and owners provided a substantial information folder to help where needed .This is a lovely site and Hazel Lodge is undoubtedly one of finest lodges on the park and in a beautiful setting over looking the pond . We were blessed with lovely weather and spent lots of time relaxing in the sun on the decking , and Frankie enjoyed some lovely walks and meeting lots of doggie friends on the site ! “We would highly recommend staying at this lodge and will return again in the future.”

The open plan (very spacious) living, dining and kitchen area is fantastic for the family to enjoy together, all other rooms are also spacious and have plenty of storage. The lodge is very clean and tidy, a little welcome pack was left for us (including our dog) on our arrival too which was lovely. Free WiFi - added bonus. Lovely woodland walks nearby and just a few minutes drive from Newquay.

“Hazel Lodge is a terrific place to spend quality time away from the hustle and bustle.”

The space the lodge offered exceeded our expectations both inside and out. Hazel lodge was very well equipped and very cosy during the evenings. If you wanted the use of wifi that was excellent and good enough to stream if needed. Each area of the lodge, kitchen, dining area, lounge etc.. were all very well defined and spacious. We love to cook and really enjoyed the open plan feel if, you don't fancy cooking there is also a very convenient on site pub/restaurant serving various dishes. The outside balcony was wonderful and a really great space to relax with a book and a glass of wine into the late afternoon sunshine. Excellent location with some lovely walks and just 5 mins drive from the beach absolutely perfect for walking our dog. Hope to visit again soon!

“Stayed for a short break, family of 4 with 2 boys aged 10 & 11.”

Lodge was beautiful, very clean and very well equiped even catering for your pet. Everything was catered for and all plugs in kitchen were labelled clearly so you knew which was for appropriate appliance. As the weather was brillaint, the washing machine came in handy :-) . The only thing it could have perhaps done with was a TV in the second bedroom. Would highly recommend this as a relaxing break.

The lodge was very comfortable and clean and warm. The welcome pack was very generous with all the essentials you would need on arrival, including treats for the dog. The quality of the wifi was excellent. The site is excellent and quiet surrounded by woodland. We would highly recommend this lodge and we would book a short break again.

We found the lodge to be above our expectations.(the only item missing was a hair dryer) The welcome pack was great. Usual tea,coffee etc with added Welsh cakes and shortbread, good to have when you arrive.The owners should be proud of what they offer. We will be rebooking in the new year.

The lodge was clean (except for some sweet wrappers under the single beds) Everything we needed was there I.e kitchen fully equipped,fresh towels,tea/coffee/sugar & milk! The park is nice & quiet. We left the lodge as we found it Clean & tidy! We even emptied the hoover (it was full) before we used it . We will book again ????

“Had a lovely stay.”

In general the accomodation was good. A little disappointed that we did not get our welcome pack. Although for What ever reason this was not possible to be available for our arrival it could have been brought to us during the week. The bed could do with a fitted sheet as the flat sheet was not big enough to tuck in. Also the towels could have been bigger ie, bathroom sheets. All in all we had a very pleasant stay in a very comfortable lodge. Thankyou.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your beautiful lodge. We all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break. We travelled light in the hope that the lodge would be well equipped and my gosh it certainly was! We couldn't think of one thing that we needed that wasn't already there. Superb! It was a pleasure to stay somewhere of such a high standard but still very people and dog friendly. Plus we noticed that there was carpet stain remover on hand, just in case of little doggy accidents which helped me to relax. Our dogs were very well behaved though and they had a great time too. Thanks again both and we look forward to staying at hazel lodge again soon.

“We rented Hazel lodge for a week.”

We turned up on the Monday ready to enter the lodge at 3pm. We went in to find that it had not been cleaned. I rang the owners who were very apologetic and said they would send the cleaners back, the cleaners came back but to only change the bedding. No cleaning was done! This meant I had to clean toilets, baths, showers, floors, wash other people’s dishes take used food that wash just left in the sink to the rubbish. The place was filthy! We let the owners know who agreed to give a £25 good will gesture. We left early in the end as we we’re so upset with how dirty the place had been left. We weren’t even given clean towels we only had the dirty ones left by the previous occupants. Completely ruined out holiday!

“Had a lovely week in Hazel Lodge, it was immaculate inside and had everything you could ask for, it had lovely comfortable beds and the en-suite shower was perfect.”

The lounge was big and had a nice homely feeling, the kitchen had everything you would want, fitted fridge freezer was large and you had every utensil was provided for. The outside decking had lovely furniture it was very clean and was excellent for relaxation. Would we recommend it to our family and friends yes 100%. Thank you Helen and Geoff for our stay.

“We had a fantastic stay at Hazel Lodge and wouldn't hesitate to return.”

Which we hope to in the near future. A lovely comfortable lodge to get you away from the day to day chores at home. Our dogs loved it here, and there were dog bowls at the lodge which I felt was a nice touch. plenty big enough for a family of four, though two couples be aware only one shower and that's In the ensuite, though no big deal! The lodge is in beautiful grounds and close to everything you would need. Missing a door handle on the fridge which was odd and annoying being as you use the fridge regular - but pleasantly to our suprise our "neighbour" came around to solve without having to report anything. Ee spent the days in Newquay and back to the lodge to chill after a day out, then back to Newquay for the sunset - it was lovely. There is a new farmshop/restaurant on site, we did not visit on this occasion. We Did have a Sunday lunch at Bosuns Locker in Newquay, absolutely fantastic, best tsunday lunch I've had out. What I love about Newquay is it's all so dog friendly. Anyway back to the lodge - very comfortable, Netflix available for those rainy days, but we were lucky and had fantastic weather. Did not get a chance to go on the dog walks so can't comment on this. Hosts very helpful and always on hand to answer any queries! Thankyou for allowing to stay in your beautiful lodge. Dog friendly which is perfect. The kids had loads of space which is a bonus, plenty of space for a travel cot too. Customer service was 10 out of 10 friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend. Only 5 minute drive from new quay and 15 minutes from aberearon. We will be back next year :) xx

The property

Hazel lodge is made up of an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and dining table and chairs to prepare and enjoy some good home-cooked meals.

There are plenty of comfy sofas in the spacious sitting area, making a great place to relax after a full day out and about exploring the area. There are two bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities as well as a separate bathroom giving extra flexibility.

From the sitting area, french doors lead out onto the raised veranda with furniture, making a wonderful place for some alfresco dining or even a nice relax with a glass of something chilled. There is plenty of woodland area to enjoy from the doorstep with many trails to follow on foot or bike as well as a children’s play area for the kids to enjoy.

The River Llethi meanders through the park out onto Cei Bach beach.

Cei Bach beach, is about 1.5 miles from the park, and at low tide you can wander from here around the cove to the pretty harbour town of New Quay which is a fabulous traditional seaside resort with seaside shops and delightful ice cream parlours alongside more formal eateries. The area offers numerous outdoor activities such as dolphin and wildlife spotting boat trips in New Quay, fishing, popular cycling routes and a fabulous coast path that meanders along some fantastic and diverse coastline. For something different take a trip to Aberaeron with its shops and famous honey ice cream or Aberystwyth with many independent and high street stores all near the beach and the Victorian promenade. Whatever you decide to do, Hazel Lodge is an ideal retreat to enjoy the surrounding areas and the wonderful coastal villages and towns of Mid Wales at any time of the year.
