“This caravan's position is only really suitable when the weather is good, as it's so close to the sea.”
We were hoping to have a peaceful autumn 4 day break, but unfortunately, the terrible storm Ophelia hit the Welsh coast which ruined our holiday. The waves were so large, they were coming over the top of veranda and hitting the caravan. We were terrified the windows were going to go through. One wave was so powerful, it pushed one of the veranda glass panels through and threw all the outside furniture around. Despite contacting the owner, repairs or cleaning up after the storm were not carried out during our stay, so the we were unable to use the veranda and ended up going home after 2 nights. The owner didn't seem concerned that we had cut our holiday short and no form of refund was offered either. There were no instructions on how to work the boiler or heating, so had to work it out ourselves and there was no information on things like fire safety or where the refuse disposal point was, the only instructions we found was a tick list on making sure we had cleaned the caravan thoroughly on leaving, which we did. We wouldn't stay here again, we've stayed in far better equipped caravans than this one at a much more reasonable price.
