    “We had a nice stay in this caravan, was further away from the beach than we thought, but didn’t detract from our stay.”

    Caravan was comfortable with good seating and a comfortable double bed, however feel the bedding could be better, a very boring brown. The setting is lovely, attractive vans in a circle with trees and foliage in the centre. Our dogs had a lovely time, dog bins were all around the site. On the last day we had done all the usual, bagging up the linen as requested, washing the sinks, emptying the bin, just a general clean up. We loaded the car leaving the dogs waiting on the veranda, last job was ...

On the last day we had done all the usual, bagging up the linen as requested, washing the sinks, emptying the bin, just a general clean up. We loaded the car leaving the dogs waiting on the veranda, last job was to collect the dogs and their bowl, locked up and left. Imagine my shock when on the journey home we received a rather snotty email informing us in no uncertain terms that we would not be refunded our £100 bond due to dog poo ‘all over the bedroom carpet’ which would now need to be professionally cleaned. I was sent photos which indeed showed one poo , 3photos showing different angles of the same poo, not all over the bedroom, I was mortified, quite clearly one of my dogs had done this as we packed the car up, i apologised of course. There was even a photo of 3 pieces of kibble which must have been hiding under the bowl. I understand that poo on the carpet is really unpleasant but I dispute the claim that ‘all the carpets will need to be professionally cleaned’ This was very upsetting and of course we were really peeved to lose our bond on top of paying extra for the dogs to stay, plus we did feel the caravan was fairly expensive for an older type of van.
