“My husband and I stayed for 3 nights over the Easter half term with our 2 little girls and had a lovely break.”

The caravan is situated on an immaculate caravan park with all essentials within walking distance. Close to so many lovely places to visit, we wish we had stayed for longer. Will always keep this in mind for future visits up north. The caravan itself was basic but very well looked after. Everything very clean, beds comfy and bathroom spotless. We very much looked after the place during our stay. Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely caravan.

“Accommodation clean, spacious with everything you need, some lovely finishing touches to make you welcome and your stay more pleasant.”

Lovely location, not only caravan onsite but surroundings with Knaresborough a lovely walk, along Abbey Road (when you walk out of main entrance, turn left, past access to watermill continue and the next left is Abbey Rd). There's shops just around the corner, McDs, M&S, Next....with Lidl straight on through traffic lights driving past Abbey Road. There's a lovely pub onside, which is dog friendly which serves really tasty soups , curries and more. The following ratings are 1- not good at all to 10- really good

“From start to finish, Jackie was brilliant, communication prior to arrival, during and after was first class.”

The caravan itself, faultless, little welcome pack and card hoping we have a lovely stay. The caravan was always warm, extremely clean and perfect for the weekend get away. Everything was well thought out, even the box with the dog blankets and little bowls. Bus link right outside the park itself taking you into town, breakfast from the cafe on site was yummy! We will be staying again and highly recommend booking the caravan for a lovely time in knaresborough

“I can't fault this.”

The caravan was spotless, everything we needed was there, even down to please and cups for young children. The site is very nice, with a lovely stretch of the River Nidd running past the cafe. It is ideal for paddling and swimming. There is a pub on site, serving decent food from Thursday - Sunday, and a building with a shop (very limited hours) and a self service launderette. There is a fairly large retail park over the road from the site (M&S Food, Next, Argos, Boots, McDonald's etc), and the bus to Harrogate via Knaresborough stops right outside. The bus ride to Knaresborough is about six minutes, £1.10 for an adult). Whenever we had a question about the caravan or the site, out emails to the caravan owners were answered within minutes. If ever we're looking to be in that area again, and it is a very nice town, we will be sure to give this place another go.

“Caravan very clean and well stocked .”

Really enjoyed the break. Bed was comfortable and all other facilities (shower, cooker etc. worked well. Highly recommended. The holiday park was one of the nicest we have visited located beside the River Nidd and close to amenities in Harrogate and Knaresborough.

“The caravan owners thought of everything , we took our cocker spaniel and there was a little veranda which was gated so we could relax knowing our dog was safe.”

The owner also left dog treats and dog towels, which really came in handy when we came in from a walk with a wet dog. The owners also left tea, coffee and a small selection of biscuits which we did not expect for a caravan break. The caravan was clean and will return when work allows.

The property

Our modern, dog friendly, two bedroomed holiday home in North Yorkshire is perfect for a couple of nights away or a longer stay. Towels and bed linen are provided as well as a welcom hamper and hairdryer. It really is a home from home. There’s parking, wooden decking and a table and chairs outside where you’re able to enjoy your morning coffee. Inside you’’ll find a spacious living area with a pull out sofa bed and kitchen connecting to a double and twin bedroom. The lounge sofa bed is suitable for children / young teens. There’s a shower room equipped with a thermostatic bar shower, basin and toilet. The caravan is fully centrally heated with radiators in each room and a gas fire in the lounge area. The Brimham Retreat is in an ideal location when visiting the surrounding area. There are bus stops located just outside the entrance of the park with routes to Knaresborough, Harrogate, Wetherby, York, Leeds and further afield.

The on-site pub, The Mill Tavern and the riverside Watermill Cafe are all within 5 minutes walking distance and there is also a shopping centre over the road from the park. There's a children's play area and dog exercising field too. Can be booked with property reference: 7915 next door.

Knaresborough is an ancient market and Spa town on the fringe of the Yorkshire Dales, overlooking the River Nidd, and is one of the prettiest towns in North Yorkshire. Its location makes it ideal as a base for touring the stunning countryside of the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. For lovers of history, St John’s Church, Knaresborough House and the now-ruined Knaresborough Castle were built by the Normans in around 1100 AD. Other attractions in the town include Mother Shipton’s petrifying well, the Courthouse Museum, "Ye Oldest Chymist Shoppe in England" which dates back to 1720 and the quirky House in the Rock.
