“We arrived at the accommodation at 4pm, we had to get ready to go out to a family celebration shortly after arriving.”

We dropped our bags off and all showered and changed. We didn't arrived back until 11.30pm. The twin bedroom was clean and the beds were clean and comfortable. We dropped our bags off and all showered and changed. We didn't arrived back until 11.30pm. The twin bedroom was clean and the beds were clean and comfortable. But at 12 O'clock midnight our daughter reported to us that the double bed was not clean. The sheets were full of long black hair and short black hairs. The pillow cases were full of what looked like makeup stains. There was also items of clothing in the chest of drawers.. I called the number that had text us the key code earlier that day. I explained the situation and the woman said she would send some clean sheets and pillow cases. At 12.20am a woman called Zowie arrived with clean bedding. When she arrived I told her that the twin room and bathroom were clean but the kitchen and living room area needed a good clean. The doors and handles on the kitchen cupboards were full of sticky food and grease. Two blankets were left over the sofas, these had an horrible smell to them. The carpet in the living room smelt of dog odor. The kitchen table was absolutely filthy. I cleaned it with antibacterial wipes and they were black after using them on the table. Zowie promised to come and clean on Sunday afternoon at 2pm she didn't arrive. No contact from her at all. I sent several messages to ask why she didn't arrive but was blatantly ignored. When she arrived with the clean bedding she was all apologies and that she was mortified with the situation. I had to put the dirty bedding and clothes into a bin bag. And make up the bed with the clean bedding for our daughter. Our daughter found hairs on the top of the chest of drawers and bedside drawers.we gave the bedroom a good clean before our daughter was comfortable enough to sleep in the bedroom. When we left on Monday morning the double room was 100% cleaner than when we arrived on Saturday. Sykes advertised on the booking that pets were not welcome. But in this accommodation there is a sign stating not to let pets on the furniture . We booked this accommodation because of the no pet statement on the booking, my husband is sensitive to dog hair with his asthma. I have photographs to support my review of this accommodation. I would like the owners of this accommodation to contact me . Zowie told us she was only looking after the accommodation because the owner was on holiday in Japan.
