    THE CARAVAN - excellent It was as described - better in fact as it is second line so there is a seaview from the lounge and decking Bed- very comfortable king size ( didn't use 2nd bedroom but seemd fine ) Decking - bench , 2 chairs and a table Lounge - sofas were comfortable - better than the built in ones you get in most caravans Kitchen - good Very clean Would stay again if coming to the area Owner was very helpfull The agent Sykes cottages who we booked through were ...

The fellside village of Hesket Newmarket is located on the edge of the UNESCO National Park in the Northern Fells and has a well-stocked local shop, and its own cooperatively owned pub and brewery, The Old Crown Inn. Caldbeck is 2 miles to the west with village shops, pub and café. For the more energetic there is fell walking, cycling and pony trekking along the Skiddaw and Blencathra range. Ullswater and Keswick are both within a short drive away where a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants await. The village is an ideal base for exploring Lakes Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite.
