The caravan is very well equipped and comfortable. We found it very clean and the water very soft. The view from the window is delightful and the surroundings peaceful. The garden is well enclosed, dog safe, and a good size with fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating. A short stroll up the lane leads to a lovely walk through Lasgarn woods or continue up the lane to Whitestone where the views are incredible. The garden is well enclosed, dog safe, and a good size with fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating. A short stroll up the lane leads to a lovely walk through Lasgarn woods or continue up the lane to Whitestone where the views are incredible. The walk is worth it just for the fantastic ancient beech trees along the banked edges of the lane at the upper end. The only hiccup during our stay was that we didn't realise that quite a few of the local pubs don't serve food on Monday or Tuesday evenings, so plan ahead. We had a delicious meal at The Open Hearth pub on the canal at Sebastopol and at the Little Crown Inn at Wainfelin. We highly recommend a holiday at Grandad's Shack and you will find the owners friendly and helpful.
