Unfortunately, it was not a good start.

On arrival, we were advised that our booking was not in the diary and had to wait 45 minutes for the key. When we arrived at the caravan, the steps leading into it felt rickety. First impressions were not too bad; however, we found the double bed very hard and woke the following day with back pain. The toilets were also very low and difficult for us to use comfortably. We were unable to get the TV to work. We also felt that the Riverside site was not particularly dog friendly. We arrived on 4 September and left on the morning of 6 September. Overall, it was a disappointing stay.

We are very sorry you are disappointed with your stay. Your booking was sent to the site and I am not sure why they didnt have a record of this. I rang reception to confirm as soon as I could. Unfortunately I was at work at the time and I couldn't respond straight away. The stairs into the caravan are pretty standard. I've never had a complaint before and we have had over hundred people stay. I am also sorry that the bed was not to your liking. I personally find it very comfortable. The toilets are also standard for caravans. I agree the signal to tv is poor at times, unfortunately it is the area. We offer free access to Netflix as a substitute. Additionally, there are dvd's and a dvd player With regards to the site not being dog friendly. I am not sure what you mean? Many residents own dogs, there is plenty of green areas to walk them. The only place dogs are not allowed (unless guide dogs) is into the restaurant areas.

Great caravan, very clean & comfortable beds made before arrival, although 2 bedrooms the 2nd bedroom is small, suitable for children not adults or 2 big teens, great location on the park not noisy at all, park itself was great with a playground, an indoor pool, 2 outdoor pools & kids & family entertainment in the evening, passes for all were easy to obtain from reception & reasonably priced.

On arrival the caravan smelled like someone might have smoked in it or dusty old heaters.

This cleared once we had the windows open for a while. The more disappointing problem was that nothing was clean. Besides the bedding, cooker etc.. it had had a general clean but we could not use anything like plates, pans, oven tray, table, table mats without washing them first. I pulled out the bedside table in the single room to look for a plug and found old amusement tickets and a sweet. No bedside lamps in either room. The blinds were dusty and sticky. The net curtains were torn. The toilet roll holders were rusty. In all it needs a bit of love and a good clean. The site was fine. The swimming pool was very tired but we had a blast in it with the kids and tbe price for using it for the day is a bargain. The guy in the arcade was the nicest and most helpful member of staff that we met. We would return to the site.
