Why Burnham-On-Sea Caravan Parks?

As well as miles of golden beaches (seven miles, to be accurate!) and views to die for, Burnham-on-Sea is a bustling town in its own right, with activities and attractions galore right on the doorstep. Getting out and about couldn't be easier in the local area with a quick and efficient bus service, trains from nearby Highbridge and a well-planned road network, so there's no excuse not to go out exploring! Towns and villages to visit close to Burnham-on-Sea include Weston-super-Mare, Bridgwater, Cheddar, Wookey and Glastonbury.

If you are enjoying a holiday at a Burnham-on-Sea caravan park, then the town is a great place to stop off to stock up on holiday essentials and stay awhile. With a fabulous choice of independent shops and boutiques, it's the perfect place to browse and pick up a memento of your holiday to take home. Sample some of the best food you'll find anywhere, with everything from traditional fish and chips to menus from around the world, so no matter what your taste and budget, there is something to suit everyone. If you're visiting in May or October, then check out the Burnham-on-Sea food and drink festival, which showcases the best produce the local area has to offer and is the ideal opportunity to sample the region's culinary delights.

Places to Visit During Burnham-On-Sea Caravan Holidays

A Burnham-on-Sea caravan holiday park stay wouldn't be the same without a trip to the pier and to not one but three lighthouses, which the town is known for, and it also has a popular theatre, the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre, which has a programme of events and shows throughout the year and is well worth visiting. If you want a change from the beach, then the nearby 42-acre Apex Leisure and Wildlife Park is a great place for children and grown-ups alike (and dogs!), with loads of open space to run around in and explore. There is nowhere better to be at one with nature, and the park has lakes, wildflower meadows and woodlands, all home to some fascinating flora and fauna. This is a magnificent spot for an active dog walk while soaking up some incredible views and breathing in the fresh Somerset air. For the children, there are nature trails and play areas, with picnic areas aplenty for the whole family to enjoy a break and relax before heading off to continue their outdoor adventures.

While on holiday at a Burnham-on-Sea caravan park, whatever the weather, a fun-filled family day out awaits at Animal Farm Adventure Park, a hugely popular theme park and petting zoo. Here, guests can meet and greet more than 250 animals and roam the 23-acre site, taking in the sights, sounds (and smells!). You can have a go at activities such as animal grooming and reptile handling and listen to some fascinating educational talks, and learn more about creatures from all over the world. Kids can enjoy a cuddle with rabbits and guinea pigs at Cuddle Club, as well as pigs, and there are even llamas. If it's raining, don't worry; there is plenty to do here with the all-weather barn offering three storeys of fun and games from the adventure castle, ball pits and climbing wall to the rope bridge, slides and agility course. Outside, there are trampolines, slides, an assault course, a zip slide and a tractor track, as well as mini-golf and go-karting. All in all, there is plenty to keep even the most active family and friends entertained for the day, with an on-site café offering delicious food and refreshments. Whatever floats your boat, from a gentle stroll along the beach, a spot of retail therapy or a night at the theatre to a scenic cycle, a healthy hike or having a go at an adrenaline-fuelled water sport activity, a Burnham-on-Sea caravan holiday has it all.
