Family With Young Children

Date of stay - 25 Oct 2021 - 29 Oct 2021

Amazing caravan lots of space and very accommodating for young children , plenty of things to do on the park with evening clubs amusements and a tiny tots space with soft play. Easy access to buses to either the rhyl town or Prestatyn and very regular service . Even managed to get a Chinese delivered to the caravan, amazing experience and highly recommended.

Date of stay - 14 Aug 2021 - 21 Aug 2021

The caravan - lovely big sitting room area which was fab as we had family staying in another caravan so could entertain them for supper at ours, we had 7 people sat very comfortable and could easily have had another 7! Curtains very heavy so blocked light well but net curtains might have been nice for some privacy. Kitchen was a good size for what we needed, flame on cooker kept going out during cooking but this could have been us as we don't use a gas cooker at home, beds to sleep 8 but only 5 plates in kitchen. Bathroom smells stale no matter how much I left the window open, stains on curtain, bit of mould in the shower and quite difficult to get a decent shower as it's taps so you have to try and find a balance with the hot and cold which I couldn't! Also an adjustable height shower head would be better, especially since this is designed as a family caravan where we are all different heights. It's obviously an older bathroom as shower is very narrow (family elsewhere on site had a shower double the size), bathroom door needs oiled as very creaky. Hallway is quite narrow and there is some wear and tear such as wallpaper coming away near main door and scuffed bits between bedroom and door to kitchen. Also bit of black mould on wall between double bedroom and back bedroom. Twin room near kitchen - no complaints, son said it was comfortable. If there had been more than just him in the room though the cupboards would not have been adequate. Double room - bed really surprised me with how comfortable it is, I worry about the bed wherever I go as I have back problems but this was great! Bit narrow to walk round the beds but you don't expect much more when in a caravan. Table with 4 seats outside which unfortunately the Welsh weather prevented us from using but a nice touch. Its obviously a popular area for families so it was very noisy with lots of kids around. A recommendation would maybe be to put up a map with nearest bin points. I had to ask someone where to go to put our bin out. This caravan owner - I had emailed a couple of times with questions and all seemed to be great, quickly responsive, friendly. We arrived in Rhyl at 2.15 do thought we would sort our entertainment passes and have a walk to stretch our legs (after our 8hour car journey) before check in which according to my email confirmation was 3pm. I hadn't been given the details to get into the caravan so I messaged and said that's us here how do we get in at check in time. I was messaged back very quickly with the code but told the caravan would be ready for my 4pm check in time. I replied straight away to say my email confirmation states 3pm check in time, we are exhausted and would like to get in after an early start and long journey and was completely ignored. Luckily the family we had staying elsewhere arrived so we could go to theirs for a cup of tea and use the bathroom. I was so disappointed since communication had been great up till then. There was no messages throughout the stay to check we had found everything OK or anything either. My family's caravan owner was constantly in touch and checking that everything was OK with their stay. For the price we paid I hadn't expected Ritz service but I do expect a reply. When we got to our caravan at 4pm the floors were still wet from cleaning so they had clearly only just been done. The caravan my family stayed in had only 2 bedrooms but a massive decking area with great customer service from their owner and they paid only £50 more than we did for a 3 bedroom non decking caravan with non-existent customer service. The park - I have never stayed in a worse holiday Park. Totally rundown, staff are rude and have no customer service skills at all. Don't bother buying entertainment passes as you won't be able to use them unless you like wasting 2hours queuing in the hope that you might get in. Bins constantly overflowing leading to refuse and seagulls everywhere! Early in the week there were around 20-30 cars targeted and broken into, these were cars which are fob activated but it still kept us on high alert about our own safety. On Friday there was a death on site leading to lots of police presence and an air ambulance in attendance. No details were given, again leaving us all a bit on edge. The arcade was pitiful, half the machines don't work, staff were impossible to identify as half of them didn't wear uniform. The place was super crowded and no-one was wearing masks despite Welsh regulations still requiring masks to be worn. This seemed to be a recurring theme throughout Rhyl and Prestatyn but you go to Llandudno and they are very much on it, staff refused entry to multiple shops I was in to people not wearing masks and I felt much safer there. Trying to make a complaint at reception I was met with attitude and there was no manager on site to complain to in person apparently.

Date of stay - 24 Jul 2021 - 31 Jul 2021

We recently spent a week in this caravan and as a family of 4 it catered to our needs perfectly, the caravan is clean and well looked after, easy to find and not to far from all the entertainment on site, the site was great, swimming, bar, store and take away along with a decent arcade, we had a great time, definitely looking to book this caravan again for next year!

Family With Young Children

Date of stay - 10 Jul 2021 - 24 Jul 2021

We booked this as a last minute trip due to covid 19 and abroad holiday cancelled again. I was quite surprised about the layout of the caravans, they are not in rows, if you want a bit of private time after a day out sat outside the caravan you won't get this as you are in a square facing into other caravans and there seating areas. Bit strange in my opinion. The caravan is fine but I feel it could provide the basic essentials ie sharp knifes, potato masher etc. Which we had to go and buy ourselves. The caravan is good for a base to eat and sleep which is what we did. Lots of lovely areas to go visit. I am pleased that the caravan wasn't positioned nere the on site facilities as I can imagine it can get quite loud. Train line runs just at the back of the caravan but never bothered us. I wouldn't stay on the site again, not because of the caravan just because of how the layout is.

Beautiful caravan ser un a quiet area of the park. A bit far from the entrance but if you have a car its not a problem.
