Butlins Minehead - Holiday Accommodation 9879

All in all I was happy with the accommodation.

If I had to be picky, it was cleaned to a certain standard but attention to detail was lacking just slightly. Long hairs in sink and shower and dust on the skirting in places but generally clean. The caravan was difficult to locate once in lakeside caravan park due to the caravan not being named or numbered and although caravans run in numerical order it didn't help that 151 was positioned next to a caravan numbered 178. I actually put my key in the door half expecting possible occupants to call out asking what I thought i was doing.

Everything was ok apart from the windows had an inch gap around so did close properly and the main bed window handle came off in my hand so I could open that window And stains on the carpet in the frontroom which I tryed to clean No tea towels so I had to buy a hand towel But other that that we had a lovely time i never took my dog she stayed home with a family member

Well organised, would stay again in this property for a big weekender in future, Ideal for up to 8.

Its also one of the few where dogs are allowed. Plenty of space outside the 3 bedrooms, has a toilet, separate bathroom with shower and toilet, balcony, large seating area and kitchen area. Even has a Nintendo Wi and Sony we couldnt get to work along with tv - batteries in the 3 remotes, one set are leaking AA and AAA's? Only other niggle is being told with another punter opposite by Butlins staff, cant park there 3 times. The allotted parking bay is one of the shortest on the site with a chain behind, meaning front end was 1/4 across the road and cannot park on the grass. Therefore no where to park, Staff said park on someone elses over the road he will move the boulder, he didnt we did. That was for only 1 night, next day to find a small car taking 2 places up, again no where to park except grass opposite. The key collection from Highway pub thats not on Butlins map or listed as any pub on Google or Real Ale Finder. Only found filtering through photos of the property and an educated guess where. Its about the 0.7 mile, more by car to get out of Butlins venturing in to the town of a night, expect a walk of 4 miles+ doing Quaye Inn, pricey Ship Aground, Kildare round the back the locals use and Spoons open till 12. We made use of the free passes but only did the Splash World. No idea what else it covered even looking on Butlins site. Great place to stay, above are minor niggles.
