We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The caravan was well equipped and spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. It has a nice garden area and off road parking. Just be aware there is no internet available in the van or on the park, so internet is only via mobile data which can be very slow at times. We were using Vodafone and '3' and the signal was weak at best. This is no reflection on the caravan of course.

Reply: Thank you very much for your feedback, it’s much appreciated. You’re welcome back anytime and we now have wifi set up in the caravan ???? Thanks, Lisa

Brilliant stay.. Clean, lots of movies, games .All amenities present. Kids had a great time .. Kids had so much fun at the football table. Would have loved to have had wifi provided/included rather than an extra... Nonetheless Brilliant stay! Would come again!

(5 night stay Sunday 25/10/2020 to Friday 30/10/2020). Great 4 days 5 nights at Port Haverigg. Even though it was the end of October we went on the beach to make sand castles and fly a kite. There are plenty of walks to do and a RSPB nature reserve right on the doorstep. There is a great 3 mile walk around the marina and to an old lighthouse. We also had a trip to Millom Rock park which is a little gem for a couple of hours out with kids who like watching diggers and big machines. This is in quarry from a from a viewing platform. The South Lake Safari Zoo is 40 mins drive away if you want a full day out. The site has a nice little playground for the kids and the beach at Haverigg also has a good playground with a café next to it. The restaurant called Herdwicks , is literally on site provides really nice Bistro food, freshly backed pizzas and draft beer. The caravan is a great caravan with its fenced area, decking and seating. Its in a quiet cul de sac area of the site, so not a lot of cars go past. It is tidy, clean, equipped with all the items you need and warm. Lee and Carol even provide bedding in the price and a hand sanitizer for the current crazy situation at the moment . There are games console's and selection of DVD's for both kids and adults for those rainy days. Our break was just what we needed before lockdown 2. Would definitely go back again in the summer. Thanks again.

Reply: Such a lovely review Simon. So glad you all enjoyed your stay. We would definitely welcome you and your family back. Our caravan was left spot on by you and your family. Take care and stay safe. Lee/Carole

(3 night stay the site would not let me enter it in 24 - 27th Aug) Really nice few days in Millom. We have visited Port Haverigg marina village and few times, because we love the long walk around the marina, but we have never stayed in one of the caravans before. So my husband and I are pleased to find this little gem as its close to everything beach, marina and a nice little restaurant called Herdwicks (which the caravan is minutes away from). We are both so please to find this caravan and will definitely be stay every year if we can. Thank you so much to Lee and Carole the break was just what we needed.

Reply: Thank you Rachel such a lovely review. We would love to welcome you back anytime. Thank you for your kind comments. It is such a beautiful place to visit

Solo Traveller

Date of stay - 19 Jul 2020 - 22 Jul 2020

This was my first solo caravan booking. I was looking to get away to somewhere scenic and go for a few walks in the Lakes during the pandemic, complying with social distancing. Carole and Lee's caravan was perfect - spacious (it's laid out more for a family) and clean, with plenty of kitchen equipment etc - I cooked a couple of times -and a well-maintained garden. The neighbours on the next pitch were owners and were pleasant and helpful, as were the site staff when I was trying to find the pitch. I had some trouble getting the boiler to work, but was able to call Lee (no relation to me) who quickly helped me turn it on. The site location is picturesque but close to Millom which is a fair sized town with shops, takeaways etc. Most of the Western Lakes beauty spots (Coniston, Wasdale etc) are within 45 minutes drive. It was exactly what I needed - a getaway and base for mountain walking. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much, we had a lovely time. Already booked in again for a week in August. Such a beautiful location & a short walk to the beach. Caravan was immaculate and the fenced off garden was great with having a toddler. Nice patio set on the decking too. Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks again.

Reply: Thank you for the very nice review so glad you enjoyed your stay and glad you will be back. Lee
