Munlochy (private land)
Munlochy is a modest community west of Avoch on the B9161. It is located at the mouth of a deep bay, with Wood Hill to the north and Craigiehowe to the south. They include lush woods and rounded hills, however Craigiehowe has a more rocky shoreline with some intriguing caves. There are no other caravans on Munlochy (private land) except one which is located in a beautiful, wonderful garden. There is more than enough free parking available. Munlochy, a little community on the Bonny Black Isle, around 8 miles between Inverness and Dingwall. At Chanory Point near Fortrose, you can even see dolphins. You may travel to West Ullapool and John O Groats and return in one day, or you can just sit in the gazebo and relax while gazing out over the landscape. A half-mile distant is a hamlet with a shop and a motel. From the settlement to Inverness, there is a daily bus service (hourly). The location is great for a quiet static caravan break away. You will have time to relax and rejuvenate and forget about all of life's worries.
