About the owner

Hi, welcome to our holiday home! As a family with 3 children, we've holidayed in Cornwall for many years and when we visited this holiday park we just knew we'd found our haven. We love its central location to some of the best beaches and towns Cornwall has to offer. If you're anything like us, having somewhere nice to come back, relax and put your feet up at the end of a fun packed day on the beach is key to a fantastic holiday. x

St Minver Holiday Park owned by Parkdean Resorts, is located 2 miles from Rock which lies on the Camel Estuary with its beautiful beaches of Daymer Bay, Rock and Polzeath, known for its surfing. All beaches have car parks and Polzeath also offers surfing lessons along with surfing equipment to hire.

St Minver Park benefits from lying in wonderful private grounds boasting a large indoor pool, sauna, indoor and outdoor seating areas and full changing facilities. Also on the park is a laundrette, well stocked shop, children's play area, crazy golf and the old Manor House with WIFI, restaurant, bar, takeaway food, amusement arcade and entertainment area which offers a full and varied daily program for children and adults. Also in the villages of St Minver (walkable from site) and Pityme there is a local pub.

On the road leading to Rock there are a variety of shops including two deli's, a Spar, fish and chip shop, butchers, bakery and several takeaways. In Rock there are several excellent cafes, and Paul Ainsworth's The Mariners restaurant. Also in Rock you can learn to sail, water ski, windsurf or paddle board.

From Rock you can catch the ferry to Padstow, renowned as an old fishing port and of course for the many restaurants of TV chef Rick Stein. Or visit nearby locations of Port Isaac (featured in the TV series Doc Martin), Port Quin, Tintagel and Boscastle. Further afield Eden Project is only 40 minutes away. Or visit the towns of Truro, Bodmin and St Ives.

Rock is also a great place to start and walk along the sands and the many coastal paths with wonderful views out to sea and across the bay.

Our closest town is Wadebridge which benefits from 3 supermarkets, a wide variety of shops, local leisure facilities, and is the main base for the Camel trail that runs from Bodmin to Padstow. The trail can be walker or you can hire cycles for adults, children and even your pet! A real must do.

On balance of final payment and the security deposit you will be sent full details on how to get to the park, where The Robins is located on park and also where the keys are.

PLEASE NOTE: that bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. However towels for the pool and the beach are not, so please bring your own.

Prices are per week and run from Saturday to Saturday. In quieter months there is a greater flexibility with the dates.

Family With Young Children

Date of stay - 17 Aug 2024 - 24 Aug 2024

An absolutely beautiful lodge !! Probably the best one we’ve hired on this site both for quality and practicality with two young children! The owners really have made this a wonderful place to stay. We have been coming to st minver for 15 years now, the surrounding area is just amazing and this lodge will hopefully have us again!! Hats off ????????

Date of stay - 5 Jul 2024 - 12 Jul 2024

Our eldest daughter and her young family and dog stayed in this beautiful 2 bed lodge. We were staying in another lodge on the site with our other daughter and her partner and young baby, but we would all get together at this lodge for our meals. The lodge was absolutely gorgeous, and was like home from home. The decor was very tasteful, and it was extremely clean and tidy. We used to own a villa in Florida, and this lodge brought back memories of that, which made the holiday extra special. We would certainly recommend it. Thank you.

Reply: So please you enjoyed your time here, thanks so much for leaving such a lovely review.

What an amazing lodge. We have never stayed in such beautiful, comfortable and well appointed accommodation like this before. The lodge is enormous with everything that you could want . It's got more facilities than our own home. In our opinion the lodge has the best position on the St. Minver site, with a wonderful, huge veranda and large outside space. There is even a gas barbecue, with plenty of outside comfortable seating. The site is located within a short walk to the tiny village of St. Minver with it's village pub and cricket club - where I watched my first ever live cricket match. The upmarket resort of Rock is approximately 2 miles away with some fabulous restaurants and even more choice of shops, bars and restaurants, on the short ferry ride over to Padstow. We can't wait to return.

Reply: Wow, thank you for such an amazing review. We happily await your return to St Minver in the near future.

Date of stay - 17 Sep 2022 - 24 Sep 2022

The lodge was beyond our expectations. It truly was a home from home. Myself and my husband, who are both in our 50’s stayed week commencing 17 September 2022 with our 2 cocker spaniels, Bella and Poppy. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed 1 extra night and would have extended it for longer if we didn’t have to return to work. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, even the 2 girls settled in extremely quickly. The lodge is surrounded by others but you are far enough away so that the girls were not disturbed. The wrap around decking and the size of the decking was a wonderful addition. Luckily we got to make use of it as the weather was kind. We are looking to book another week next year, just need to book the time off work first. A huge thank you to Linda and Craig for allowing us to stay in their delightful holiday home.

Reply: Thank you for such a wonderful review. It has been our pleasure to have you stay and we look forward to welcoming you and the girls back again soon xx

What a fantastic lodge! We have stayed at the St Minver park a number of times at another beautiful lodge so we had high expectations and we were not disappointed. This lodge completely exceeded our expectations. The location of the lodge is probably one of the best on the park with plenty of room for children to play safely on the grass outside. The wrap around decking was incredible, with lovely furniture that we made use of every day. The lodge itself was spotless, roomy, bright, well furnished and so comfortable. It was like a home from home and we have already booked again for next year! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Reply: Hi Teresa, thank you for your lovely review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your holiday at our lodge. We will look forward to welcoming you and your family back next summer.
