We booked our break, mainly as a childhood memories experience. My brother and myself used to go to the Robin Hood site, with our parents as very young children, so it was more for nostalgia reasons, as we lost our Mum in 2006 and more recently, our dad in 2021 ;-(. I booked for myself, my husband, my brother and my 2 granddaughters, aged 13 and 3. When we arrived, we had a slight issue with the oven, but after contacting the owner, it was quickly rectified the next morning. We also paid for the passes, which cost us £46 for 3 adults and our 13-year-old, but to be honest, we did not think (in low season) that the passes were worth the money. Apart from a 45-minute swim in the pool (which again we were shocked about, as this was not very long), we would have thought that in low season, the passes would be reduced in price! Also, I do have to mention the cleanliness and state of the changing rooms and pool area, it was shocking. The tiled floor in the pool area is absolutely lethal and really very slippy! The changing rooms and toilets, well, I do not know what to say. Dirty filthy floors, walking through tissue paper from the toilets and dirt from outside - disgusting!. We had to wait in a queue before they let us in, assuming, they were cleaning from the previous people before us, but, NOTHING at all had been cleaned. I was glad to get out and get my granddaughters in the shower. The Little Leos club was quite boisterous at times because even though it said strictly under 5's, this was not the case - we had to watch our 3 years old all the time, because older children had no concept of safety for the younger ones!! We made the most of our break away, but unless improvements to facilities on the site are improved, we will not be buying the passes if we rebooked. Our caravan was OK for us, just one small thing was, the kitchen did not have a lot of space to put the food we had taken with us, so we had to keep a lot in the car. Utensils and equipment was more than sufficient, so all good there. The caravan stay we loved, but the site itself could be vastly improved.
